I've seen a few mentions around here. Honestly, it's about what I expected from most of you on this site.

No movement is ever perfect. Not everyone involved is involved for the right reasons, or with the correct approach. But hey, at least they're involved.

Just so no one is confused by what the communist hippies want,
No, it isn't socialism...
or communism...
or nazi-ism...
How about a TRUE FREE MARKET! Where business failure is allowed. The American people aren't being robbed and turned into slaves. Since many of you don't seem to know what OWS is about, how about you read their mission statement.

Here, I'll even past it for ya.

As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.

As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments.

We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.

They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.

They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.

They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.

They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.

They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless nonhuman animals, and actively hide these practices.

They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.

They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.

They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay.

They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility.

They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.

They have sold our privacy as a commodity.

They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press.

They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit.

They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.

They have donated large sums of money to politicians supposed to be regulating them. They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.

They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantive profit.

They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit.

They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.

They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt.

They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad. They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.

They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government contracts. *

To the people of the world,

We, the New York City General Assembly occupying Wall Street in Liberty Square, urge you to assert your power.

Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone.

To all communities that take action and form groups in the spirit of direct democracy, we offer support, documentation, and all of the resources at our disposal.

Join us and mak

I stopped reading after this sentence....you'll never get your point across when you start with this opening line.

Well while you guys are all out there "peacefully" protesting, I'll be here at WORK supporting my family.

Let me know how it all works out for you.

I've paid all my debts, and continue to pay the ones owed. I don't need anyone to pay them off for me..

Have a good day, and keep doin' what you feel is right, and I will do the same..

Fortunate enough to still have your job. Good for you. Many aren't. There are plenty of families that are struggling to survive in this country when they shouldn't be. They work hard... and they suffer.

So, what you're saying is, you don't need a bailout? Good... neither did the banks.

hmm as there's 7 billion of us now what's the point were all fooked as about 4 billion too many people so its too late for us now!!

have a nice day

How is it 'they have taken our homes thru illegal foreclosure processes'?

I guess they whose homes were taken expect to keep them even if they don't make the payment?
Who cares who owns the mortgage if your paying it? I must be missing something?

I must be missing something too...I paid my mortgage in full even though my home has lost value....why? Because I SAID I WOULD when I signed the note! But wait, I shoulda protested to get mine paid for free! Big mistake on my part!

Anyone want to make my Busa payment for me this month? I'm just not feelin' it. Especially since I have to put it in storage soon. Why should I have to pay if I can't ride it?

There are jobs out there. Just the people sucking off of the system don't want "those" jobs... This is why they are struggling.

They should occupy Detroit, then Compton. Go there and camp out.

Have fun, let me know how it works out for ya.

Not sure where you're getting this stuff... who is saying that?

Also, the foreclosure thing:

Look up Robo Signing.

They are rushing through foreclosure paperwork, not actually checking the accounts properly and families who were behind, yet NOT in foreclosure were being foreclosed. It's a federal crime, and NO ONE has been charged for it. Though it's considered to have reached epidemic proportions.

Come to Alabama! Plenty of jobs there now that the illegals are out!

Pardon me for not looking that up. I try to believe things that I see in person instead of being spoon fed things from the internet. That goes for Right and Left thinking. I'm more of a middle ground type of a guy.
There are many people that can make a shiz sandwich look edible. I prefer not to eat it..

There are bigger problems in our country than the ones being protested. Federal crimes include hiring illegal immigrants, and who is doing anything about that? Gangsters with guns are a felony, and those are way more of an epidemic than banks foreclosing on houses... Do some research on that one.

Wells Fargo and Bank of America were recently served with a lawsuit for false foreclosures. They were foreclosing on homes that were not defaulting because the resell rate was netting a higher profit than the mortgage rate.

The same people who allow the issues listed, are the same people allowing the things you speak of to continue.

The list of things is not all inclusive. I just noticed that my copy got cut off at the end. It should say that.
There are people out there to support the very things you just spoke of. I am also anti-illegal hiring, and the gang problem in general. I agree that something should most definitely be done, but what? They are very serious problems... particularly the gangs. I disagree with those being bigger problems than anything listed... a restructuring of our government is needed. One without the corruption and absolute greed. It's pure insanity the things going on at the top levels. I believe things could very well escalate to civil war. I'd say that is a pretty big effing problem.

I saw nothing of a Zombie Apocalypse on that list..

The time wasted protesting could be used for training. Just sayin'..

If there is a civil war, I'm not worried about the people that have the spare time to protest and "occupy" things.. I'm worried about the HARD WORKING AMERICAN that fights for his family and his God. PERIOD.

Moloko, I see you've been drinking the coolaid. It's not "Us" that you need to be explaining your view with, most of us can read and comprehend. It's the mobs that are occupying city parks urinating and deficating anywhere and everywhere with a college degree and now seem to want me and possibly you if you pay taxes to anti up the funds to repay their loans. Apparently these are the folks that can't read or comprehend the title on their degree, eh?

The only intelligent demands I have heard from this crew is made by the union reps that seem to be present at every rally. If you have doubts about your misguided view of this motley crew, I'll call you and raise your bet,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Listen to Howard Stern expose this bunch for what they are!

Unfortunately, the movement is being defined by it's less than stellar examples. Appreciate their support, if only they would learn what they are actually supporting...

This is pretty much where I'm at with the whole thing. Definitely worth a watch... I'm off for a ride. Enjoy.
