I confirmed today that the red plug is indeed a Euro 5 style ODB-2 connector...

I hooked up an old (actually discontinued) ODB-2 reader I bought in 2010 and it just worked:

Sample readings:

RPM + one of the O2 sensors + a short term fuel trim as shown right after a cold engine start.

Pinout Reference:

Pin 1 (White/Red) - “Vendor Option” [ 9 ]
Pin 2 (White/Black) - CAN BUS HIGH [ 6 ]
Pin 3 (Black/White) - GND [ 4 ] [ 5 ]
Pin 4 (White/Yellow) +12V (via ignition key) [ 16 ]
Pin 5 (Black/Blue) - CAN BUS LOW [ 14 ]
Pin 6 (nc) - unused
Note: on the ODB-2 connector, short [ 9 ] to [ 4 ] or [ 5 ] with a paper clip to reset the service reminder.

You can purchase an adapter from AliExpress:

Note that there are dozens of marketplace ads for these items but I've verified this vendor sells an adapter that has the correct pinouts for Suzuki.

Enjoy.

is there any way to reset ECU I have to codes P0410 C1782

I hope that does it, or does that not clear the codes as well ?.

My bad, that is simply service reset, there's a couple ways to reset trouble codes as far as I can tell. Disconnect the connector to the ECU, disconnect the battery for a period of time, or negative wire to the ECM ground, or connect the SDS II tool and do it the long way.

In the DTC check section it says do not do these things or it will erase your codes. Please remember to connect all the wires including your two trouble code culprits. Me personally, I just disconnect the negative post on the battery for a period of time and re-connect it.

Page 1A-11 Gen III repair manual.

I will be getting the SDS II tool though. Anyone got the link for that?. I need the hook up.

Awesome !. There you go !. Couldn't find it in the manual.

Thank you !.

I hope that fixes it for you, let us know.
The codes are still Suzuki, and I can't find any info suggesting the gen3 has any different code numbers for a similiar issue than their previous bikes, unless they are new code numbers for new parts/tech that previous bikes did not have.

Thanks Six, that was for Paul Ash in England. First post, now he's gone. But we know.
