I think that from all the windshields available for Gen3 this is the most spensive.

Wow! Is that US dollaros? That's $500 in NZ pesos, for a PLASTIC screen???
That's a weeks wages (almost lol) and that is insane!
Last screen I bought for my Gen 1 was $24NZD incl shipping and taxes from CHINA. And I got what I paid for, a piece of cheap plastic pressed in a mould, no box, no name brand, it just works.
Here's a Gen 3 screen from CHINA.

This part also costs over 330 euros from us! An insane price for not even having a smoke screen! Although I can understand why you put on such a disc, but the part makes the look of the Gen 3 so lumpy, it's quite something to look at.

Interesting with the screen from Suzuki, you should always have the protective cover with you. Due to the curvature of the pane, a lens effect can occur in strong sunlight. Suzuki Germany even points out that you should put the cover over it during breaks.

It looks very nice
Thanks and I do like it although it cost quite a bit but like I said no one made any thing until right after I bought mine. I didn’t like the no tint at first but I mounted my GoPro underneath the windscreen and the videos looking through the screen is excellent. The money is not an issue to me, I’m spending my kids inheritance, now that may be an issue to them! Lol

If I park in the sun for any time I throw a shirt over the windscreen

Can you post a picture

I got a new Zero-Gravity clear, stock shaped acrylic windshield for my 03 gsxr1k last week, $90 from Revzilla and it was in stock and on sale(they had probably had it for years! Lucky me, as it is exactly what I wanted).
I was suprised that it came with the warning about it melting the guages in the sun.
I *assume* that now they just put that warning on all of their windshields, as the only ones I ever heard of actually doing damage were the colored versions.
A friend had a 636 years ago, and the gold/bronze(partially see through) did melt the black plactic above the guages.
That was also an acrylic shield, and I have not seen or heard of the abs plastic shields ever doing this.
Regardless, I'll stick with the acrylic shields, as they have much better optics than the abs plastic shields.

My OEM touring screen also came with a warning about melting the gauges.

Installed my OEM touring screen today. I really like it. It doesn’t mess with the lines of the bike but adds a bit of extra height that allows me to see the cluster (I’m 6”3). I thought the lack of tint wouldn’t look good, but it actually does look good and easy to see through.
