Only time I have ever had a knee down with Misty was when I asked her to Marry me, Then the wife came out and told me it wasnt legal to marry a Motorcycle in the stat of Okla.

Thinking of moving to another state.

Done on the track a couple of times, but never on the street.

On a side note, I think the objective of dragging a knee is somewhat questionable. Not that there is anything wrong with that. A rider can frequently drag a knee and have no chicken strips, but his/her body position could be wrong and actually causing excessive lean angles - hence dragging a knee and having no chicken strips. While another rider for example moves the upper body well to the inside of the turn - thus having less lean angle, going throuth the same turn faster and safer, but not dragging a knee and having some chicken strips.

There is actually a simple check for the correct body position (that's my personal opinion, not sure about others). A rider's face should be facing the mirror (or where the mirror would be). If not, the body position is wrong (again, in my opinion). An additional checkpoint would be that the outside arm (elbow area) rests on the tank comfortably.

AGREE ~ dont worry bout draggin'n the knee, just focus on how fast your getting into, thru & out of the corner, smokin'n everybody you ride with.
I prefer to keep my knee up high, against the fairing with my shoulder in line with my leg parallel with the corner, pointing your shoulder to where your going (Mick Doohan style), if your knee's up that high and your scrapping, my next purchase will be your brand of tires. I personally dont want anything scrapping .... it will slow me down
Those that scrape the knee seem to be hanging of the bike arkwardly (looks arkward to me, anyway).
Just do the business and get there first, just my opinion, no disrespect to those who do !!

No problem, I still have chicken strips on my new 2CT's because I get off the bike. The point is to lower your center of gravity & keep the bike more upright.

I would be scared to death if I ever drug my fairings. Notice in the 1st pic how far away my fairings are from dragging.

In the 2nd pic I am not off the bike very much, I have really long legs. At the track I am way off, but I am also pushing the envelope where it is safe.

I accomplished getting low on my first busa. I was pretty excited that I accomplished that. I don't think that I have the guts to try it anymore. Maybe at the track with proper training.

u are %100 right, that is exaclty how u know, if ur face is by the mirror....never dragged knee on the busa, she only has 500 and change on her, and dont feel that comfy yet....but i did on track and street with my 1000, anyone who drags there knee knows u can do it even when u dont have too, when i 1st started tracking and draggin knee, i didnt even care about the lines, just wanted to drag, it was a matter of me pulling my knee closer or further from the bike to make it drag just for fun..

I got my first knee down in the presence of Scar and Bubba a couple weeks ago :).

i poo'd a little.. sad thing was that i dragged a fairing first though. then i got my suspension fixed.

, Try to get off the bike a little more and leaved the bike more upright.
