Okay, you guys... Willing to admit that there has to be something wrong with my approach here. I can't figure it out... Someone want to clue me in as to why everyone wants to argue with me all the time? I didn't even say a word to anyone at the CBR list... All I did was upload my pics to one of my servers and tell them where to find them. They all jumped to all kinds of bizarre conclusions, and not one person said, "Hey, cool... More pics... Thanks!" Not one person ever said to me here on the Hayabusa.org site, "Hey, Josie... Thanks for setting up a chat room," or "Glad to see that even if we don't get along, at least the list isn't boring," or "Hey, it's nice to see a chick on a 'Busa," or even "Hey, it's nice to see a NAKED chick on a 'Busa."

What gives? I am totally at a loss here, and willing to admit that there is something that I must be doing wrong... Is it the "chick" thing? Are you all pissed that I ride? Does it hurt your egos? Are girls not supposed to have opinions? Are we not ALLOWED?

Perhaps it's that I didn't roll over and say, "Oh, sure... You raced the space shuttle and won... You mush have REALLY big ones!" C'mon... What's the deal? Does my presence threaten you? I can't imagine, yet my presence here spurs everyone's (very negative) opinion, and I didn't start it.

Never had this problem before in my entire life. Everywhere I go, people stop and listen, pay attention, and go out of their way not to offend. Not that I expected that from you guys, but I mean, a complete opposite reaction to my presence was not expected either. And it has happened 3 times... Once here, once on the Hayabusa mailing list, and now on the CBR list. It's only happened online, though... Strange that it wouldn't happen to my face ever.

Very weird.

So I am honestly asking... Please be gentle in your response... Creative criticism is what I am looking for, not another shouting match ending in "I will kick your ass..."

Hey CJ,
I love to see chicks on bikes my girlfriend has '94 GSXR1100 with all the bells and whistles and a very cool custom paint job. I let her ride my busa when she wants and she is considering getting one for herself. We are both planning on taking some time off this fall and go down to the Vegas ride. I won't ride hers that much do to the hot pink color scheme. I am trying to gather some other friends with bikes to go too. 1 in 4 are chicks all sportsbike riders, we usually ride in a big pack up here on the weekends about 30 to 50 bikes too much fun. I don't mind looking at pics of the bikes but I prefer to go down to my garage and look at the real thing.
Look forward to seeing you in Vegas if you still plan on going. I'm sure we will throw the bikes on the amtrak and wheel on down, partying all the way!

From what I have read and followed on this site (I don't have the CBR-XX site address so I haven't looked at it), you are right about a few things. As I recall, you were first on this site as Cyberjoe, and nobody knew you were a woman. So much for jumping to conclusions about you because of being a porn star...not possible.

Next, you said here that you never stirred up any controversy in real life, but it has happened three times in a row online now. What about your comment about being really tired of being pawed and hit on when you are out riding? Sounded to me like at least a little bit of commonality there....maybe coincidence, I don't know enough about it.

Personally, I think some people have a way of entering a crowded room by slipping in quietly, while others kick the door open and knock over the coat stand. I've known people like that (who do it online and in real life, both), who have great hearts. If you have a good heart, who cares if you stir up some controversy? That is what makes the world go round.

For every moralist who is offended by your vocation, there are several of us who are impressed by your business success (victimless by the way, as a matter of fact, unlike the way a lot of so-called reputable people make their livlng, screwing people over). Personally, I wouldn't mind having even a fraction of your success in web-based business.

For your line of business, I have the bod (2-time U.S. Olympian in Track and Field), but I am the wrong gender. You are fortunate to have the beauty to be your own subject, and the smarts and drive to set it all up. At the very least, you'll have your 'Busa paid off before I will!

I'd guess you are probably just trying too hard to be nice to people, and then over-reacting to their cynicism, sarcasm, and closed-mindedness. Don't worry about it too much, small people consume themselves. If you do what you believe is right, the good people will stick by you.

Controversey in real life? Not really, unless they somehow figure out what I do for a living. The reason that the group that I hang out with treats me that way is because I am the only female, and they always want to touch... You know what I mean? It's less a personality thing and more like, they like the shape of my ass. Lol...

Seems like you have a really valid point about the whole overreaction thing. Maybe I should just let it roll, adn try to "walk into the room without knocking over the coat rack." Yeah, I was definitely trying too hard to be nice. Then I flipped, got pissed, and told everyone I'd kill them. Okay, that was excessive. (Laughing about it now...)

Thanks for the kind words. I have a lot of good memories of the Olympic experience...of marching into the stadium at the Opening Ceremony about five feet behind Michael Jordan, Shaq, David Robinson, etc, of shaking hands with two Presidents (and Barb and Hillary and Chelsea too)...lots of memories. Sure, I can send you a pic.

Yeah, threatening people pretty much always loses you points. Best to just make amends as best you can, chalk it up to experience, and laugh it off.

Black Bus has a pretty bad attitude all right. Makes his ex-girl sound like the smart one, at least she got the EX.

We're here to talk motorcycles. Give it a rest, or take it somewhere else where they want to play your nasty games.
