Went over some glass and it totally punctured my rear tire.

So a couple of questions...

Is it possible to patch this tire or will I need a new one?

If I do need a new one...Do you think I can schooze the dealership into getting it to me for free?

Let me know.

I am very sad....stupid glass.

sorry to hear bout that. But #### happens. Just an excuse now to get the Michelin Powers!

That really sucks! It's been beat around, but I would go for the new tire. On a car I would probably try to get it patched, but not on a bike. Don't know how the dealership will be but doubtful that they will give you a new one for free. A used one maybe. Just have to check.

Sorry to hear about your tire. It's an easy call for me... $200 vs. $10,000. New tire wins every time.

Time for a new rear tire. No way around it. Might be able to get the dealer to toss it on for free if you ask nice. Otherwise there is no free ride.

gotta agree, time for a new tire. Seriously doubt the dealership will give you one for free, but you may be able to get the to mount for free.

Yep--What they said---new tire -- ran over something too once---cut the tread--Junk=

I think we are all in agreement, I wouldn't trust the one thing holding my arse of the pavement to a plug.

New tire no doubt about it and the dealer is NOT going to give you one. Sorry about the bad news but bite the bullet and get a new tire on before riding season really gets into full swing. You might be able to seing the mountand bablance free but don't count on it.

Like warbrwon said, 200 or 10k. It's just not worth it, hopefully you can convince your local dealer to give you a new one free and send the old one back complaining about giving them a tire that went flat while on the showroom floor!

It could be worse, I thought you were going to say you dropped your bike and the fairing start off at 500.00!

Never even think about patching a busa tire.....too much riding on those tires to risk it.

New tire for sure! If you are really lucky the dealer will give you one at cost ,but I doubt they will give you one for free.
