 I would go with a new tire. The dealer might give you a good deal on the tire but, its your bad luck not his. S### happens just be glad it was only a tire.

never patch a motorcycle tire! Had a blow out one time at 80mph on the rear and it was not fun.

I would probably opt for a new tire too, but if you do, hold on to the old one. I have a friend who opened a shop in the area. He will take it off your hands for the right price. He has no fear of patches and plugs.
