Oil baffle/windage tray

Update on this. I bought a windage tray and it made things worse. Only say 30-40 psi of oil pressure after take off and it never went back up. My guess the oil isn’t getting back down in the oil pan. I’m going back to the way I had it and just run an extra quart of oil.

I’m going to try 5 quarts. I have a 1.5 inch flat pan and was running 4 quarts. With 4 quarts and no baffle the oil pressure would dip the. Come back up to about 60.

I went from 4 to 4.5 and saw an improvement.

5 quarts seemed to do the trick for me. Oil pressure went down a little but was much higher than before. Just going to run with the 5 quarts from now on. Maybe next oil change I will go down to 4.5 and see if it changes.

I may run 5 next time. As long as it isn't coming out of the breather it should be ok.

I will check tonight to confirm that it didn’t come out the breather. The lowest pressure I saw was 80 psi. Which is much better then the 30ish I was seeing.

No oil put the breather. 5 quarts seems to be the trick.
