This is what happens when i get bored and tools are nearby.

Today i decided to a repolish on the frame sides. I thought it would be alittle easier if i took off some stuff....then one thing led to another and now the motors on the ground. Busa engine's are suprizingly light. LOL.

I'm jumping head first and going all out. Polish, paint, chrome, the works.

The frame is gonna be polished were you can see it(Head area, frame sides and some other areas). I'm dropping the frame off this friday at All Action Cycles in Woodbridge, Va. I hope Trent hooks me up.

One thing, as i was removing the swingarm these fell out.

Does the shim go on the inside or outside of the rubber ringed seal thing?

Oh my Lord, where is your bike GM??

What do you use to polish the frame?

I started sanding with  180 and worked up to 2000. Each grade of paper you use, after sanding, make sure it's sanded evenly, then move on to the next grade. It's not a one night deal. I have 18-20 hrs per side. After consulting some pro's, i found the reason i wasn't achieving a deep mirror polish was my technique. You have to run the polisher at a higher speed and just let it float, it'll feel almost like your not doing anything but it is. The trick is knowing when to stop, as you can over buff an area and then you have to re-2000 it and rebuff. Alittle practice and you can get it.
There's a reason i'm gladly paying someone else to do this time.

If you have it that tore down please get it chromed. You will just chase your tail with polished stuff. Hope you dont plan on riding in any bad weather.

GM, I know oil changes are a ##### on the busa, but I think you took a few parts off that were not required. Hope you have her going in time for the busa bash.Look foreward to meeting you there!

I would chrome, but at $1200 plus for just the frame it aint gonna happen.

What's gonna happen is, polish then clear powdercoat. It'll stay shiny for a long, long time and it look almost like a chromed frame. All for about $500 total. The rest of the bike will be chromed as my pocket book allows.

I ride the hell outta my bikes AND take care of them.
