Well, I must be doing super fantastic. I only replaced my chain and sprockets out at 32K. 
OK So did I screw it all up?

Well I don't dog the bike, clean & lube every 600 miles too. He said it's the horsepower of these bikes that kills the chains so early.

horsepower alone doesn't kill a chain...application of the power and chain maintenance is the killer.
My last busa did 16k on the chain through 4 winters and salted roads....the salt eventually made it look aged so it got changed early on cosmetic reasons.
Bro-in-law just sold his 00' model with 14k miles and running its original chain still in mint condition.
