OK why the auction site?

I have also bought a bunch of stuff from the forsale forum. So as to not beat around the bush I think the aution site sucks. The old way was far more convenient to use.

I have bought a lot from this site, sold a lot, given stuff away, and received stuff at no charge or very little.
Can I ask you though, why is it not as convenient to use?
All you do is click on one link to the main page where you can see items ending or recently listed.
Seller has the option to put a starting price and even a "buy out". So you may even get parts for cheaper then buying outright on the board.
Not bad for buyers.
Only downfall is that it may take an extra few days to sell an item. Which to me is no big deal since it helps the board.

I think the question that you all need to ask yourselves is who is it simple for........

I held the burden by myself trying to keep this place up and running for the longest time. Partially because I didnt want to impose on others and partially because I am a control freak... Over the past year you have seen me relinquish control of different parts of the site to others.... RSD, Vabusa, the mods... What you guys may or may not know is that all the mods are now admins because frankly I havent been able to keep up.... The admins spend a ton of time answering PM's, emails, trying to answer questions and get accounts working, you name it.......... All of those simple things that you guys like so much have been at a price that someone else had to pay....... Financially it was me, work wise it has been all the admins....... I know the old way was easier for you guys but there was a lot behind the scenes that had to occur for you to enjoy that. I dont ask favors from the members, nor do I require membership fees. So far the only real response that I have been given has to do with your convenience. I dont think that asking you all to use the auction site is too much to ask. Ive taken almost all the fees off, I will remove all of the other catagories from the software just to be accommodating and then I dont know what else to do..........

Honey, I got that new mirror for the Busa. Had to click the mouse button 5 times....get me the ice pack for my finger damnit! Hopefully by the time it's delivered I'll be rested up enough to make it out the front porch.
