Not on the cluster, on the handle bars, and I was lucky and did not strip the threads.
The SHCS accepts a 2mm Allen wrench - if that helps.

well crud, without a Gen2 bike to look, I would have to say something to do with a Helibar or Genmar riser install.... final answer..

Ok, you gonna let us know before happy hour~?~ LoL

Okay, no more waiting.

Let this serve as a warning to anyone installing new levers. I only have myself to blame, the levers are fantastic and I will not part with them.

When installing shorty levers, there is a small SHCS that you must screw into the end to serve as not just a stop, but also provides some pressure to keep it from vibrating and causing wear.
I put the screw in using the allen wrench and over tightened it, causing it to sit deeper in the hole and thus not hitting the stop as it should. I played with it and got it to hit but since I had already gone too far, it began to come loose after every few days. I tried Loctite, permatex, and even Teflon tape (which lasted the longest).

So I had some fingernail polish that I had bought to match my wife's red scooter, I painted around the little screw and hope this will do the trick. If not I may need to look into alternate fixes.

So there you have it, do with it what you will.
But let me just remind you to be very careful when working with little screws and nuts, I have lots of experience with little things and this one still got me.

Thanks for the ear and thanks for playing

so why not fill in the bottom of the hole with something to stop the screw from going in?

That's actually what I tried with the Teflon tape. I need something very small and I may still have to do that. If you have any ideas as to what would work, I will certainly try it.
Thanks

The red is an adhesive. It's surrounding an allen head bolt. I'm guessing the bolt is there more or less to center the attaching black bar to a hole or gap.

Must perform CSI analysis on pictures to see who shot J.R. Ewing
