Okay guys, the call has gone out on

you guys are absolutely amazing. Thank you so much.

Shawn had a real cool idea...I happen to have a machine shop set up in my garage next to my house, with no projects. I HAVE LOTS OF TIME (on the weekend) for R&D.
If anyone can think of something they would like made, on a lathe, or milling machine, there is a chance that I can make it for you. I had hoped to make something for everyone, but after reconsidering, I know that it would be far nicer if I could make something YOU want. A couple hundred people will come up with several hundred ideas, I can think of a couple.
So, if there is a spot on a busa where a 'belt buckle' sized shiny metal kanji can go, or whatever you can think of, I would love to give it a go.
I am not trained on the cnc mill, but have a friend (John) that wants some time on it, maybe I can trade time for work.

I have made checkerplate aluminum boxes, fuel/water tanks, different shafts, and John
has done done a few aluminum projects for me.

If anyone has CNC experience, I use Bobcam, bought Bobart, so if they can send me the program, I can likely punch it out.

Once again, you all

Sounds like a great deal.. but I can't think of anything I need.. but I will keep this in mind! Someone has to have fabrication they need done on the board... we're always doin' weird stuff with the bikes.

Ken, you have enough to do. If you want to make something that would be relatively easy, how about a kick stand puck?

Sorry guys, I may have spoke too soon, I didnt realize that CDI makes kick stand pucks.

IMO, if Ken made some pucks to give out as a token of appreciation, that in my book is not stepping on anything.

Cool, I was just trying to think of something that would be relatively easy to produce and would not take a lot of time.

I dont have the cash right now but do have some parts, can someone post what is still needed?

Okay Ken here is an idea. How about 1" mirror extenders with a camera mount that puts the camera above and in front of the mirror mount made out of aluminum.

Or how about a bracket that comes off the frame slider (no cut or standard) that would allow a bracket for "highway peg" for those people that want a TEMPORARY place to put their feet on a long ride, you know "Iron Butt". Yes it might look goofy but if it's only a temporary deal it might be cool so you could stretch your legs. Yeah I know stop and get off! HA HA!

Or how about a midpipe flange (the part that the muffler bolts to) to allow people to make their own midpipes. That way they could have a true large diameter midpipe. I'm about to do this to mine.

Or design a bracket that will allow Buell pegs on the rear to move the passengers feet lower and forward a little.

Or a bar end that has holes in it so you could attach tie downs to them. Yes added pressure on the bars but probably no more than when you stop hard and allow your body weight to rest on the bars. Made out of polished stainless?

All great ideas- gonna think on this, lets work on it together...

Pucks- what size would you be looking for, shape, where's it going to be stored?

Mirror extenders- I think this would be easy as well, just need to know how much offset is needed for the camera.

Highway pegs- sliders are fairly straight forward, what if they were just longer than usual? If they were extended, they almost have to be spring loaded to as not to catch in a hard leaning corner, but if someone can email me a picture, specs of what you are looking for....

Buell pege relocators- if you can give me a pattern, I am willing to mill it out.

Midpipe flange- depending on the metal composition, should be ok, but need specs.

Anyone with a good idea, please email it to me, with a pic showing specs if possible.

Bar ends- I havent worked with stainless yet, but would be willing to give it a go, just need to change out to hardened carbides for the lathe I think. May be do-able.

could always keep the pucks under where factory tool hit was lol... or in it for that matter doesnt need to be to big!

The only thing you need to do is get yer bike back in werkin order...I'll be happy with that!
