Old biker, new to sportbikes

I rode Harleys for almost 20 yrs, thanks to my ex, and becoming the custodial parent, 14 years have passed with out.
When I first starting riding, people that owned Harleys rode thier bikes instead of the bikes being corner cafe bling, the shame.
I decided to try someting else, cause I no longer fit in, it was a stroke of genius.
I've always liked Suzuki, and wanted a Katana when they first came out, but never took the plunge. When the Hayabusa came out it peaked my interest and I've wanted one since. I deciced a couple months ago to kinda shop around, this week I came across a sale at a local dealership that had a new 2007 at a vary reasonable price. Yesterday I became the proud owner of a beautiful blue Hayabusa that now has over 200 miles on it and would have more except for a sudden thunderstorm. I'm taking it easy for break in, but it is hard to keep her going slow. Today was winding mountain roads, the bike really hooks through curves, its going to be hard to keep my butt outta the seat, I'm addicted.

Congrats on the bike and to the ORG :welcome:
What area are you in?
We also require lots o pics:rulez:
Ride her safe and long.

I reside 12 miles South of the Canadian border in Western WA State, like to meet any locals, you know 200 mile range, or so.
Pics soon, this beautiful but untimely thunderstorm put a delay in some pic shooting. I have a gorgeous backdrop in a nearby park that always has babes, (no offense to any female members I hope.) that I planned for this evening, tommorow is good too.
Thanks, Jeff

:welcome: aboard! :hello:

I really like the '07 Blue. Of course any blue Busa is gonna be the fastest ;)

Welcome to the org. You will learn soon that the 2007 was the best year for the Busa. They were faster than the previous year with the red 07 being the fastest. Our female members are great and they certainly wont be offended by being called babes. If you see a really tall guy dwarfing a 2005 Blk/Gry Hayabusa in the Seattle area he answers to the name of Tony ! Have fun and ride safe !

Two years from now, you're gonna feel the same way, like you just bought it, and ya can't stay off of it. Enjoy!
