Old man Busa owner

I'm 42 and just got a new 09 Hayabusa only 1 week ago. My other bike is a VN1700 Nomad. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.

I"m 52 riding an 08 busa and loving it, dont know how much real world difference there is between a gen 2 & gen 1 mines mostly stock just a pipe(m4) a tre & pc3 usb only change id like to see is keeping the front end near the ground wide open through 1st gear

Congratulations on the new bike! I'm 53 and have had an 05 Hayabusa for about 18 mos, ride it all the time here in south Alabama I also have an 2000 H-D Electra-Glide. They are both great bikes, and both have their place. Ride safe.

Little update so far love the bike getting addicted to the power. Unfortunately living in NW Indiana I think my riding is done for a little while. Kills me ever time I walk out of the garage to see it sitting there. But it's nice and warm along with the other bikes in my attached heated garage so i can go visit it once in a while. One of the guys I ride with (mostly Harley riders) said I can't ride witht them anymore (in jest). Guess their intimidated.

In regards to mods. I think this is probly the first bike I won't do much to. It's already taken me faster than anything I've ever ridden.

YOu will get the "bug for mods" atleast a few. Maybe more mods available for it then the harleys.
Have fun shopping.

:welcome: to the .org. you'll find some great guys on here who enjoy the busa almost as much as i do:laugh:
i guess i'm lucky- i found the beast when still in my early 30's...
but like i say- youre only as old as you act!

Well, I am 43 and have 24,000 miles on my 06 LE Busa, and my Dad will be 76 in February and he has 27,000 miles on his 06 LE busa. Dad rides his Busa usually twice a week. I've tried talking him in to another bike but he doesn't think anything else will compare.

Just turned the big 50 recentley , but got my 09 busa in september 09. I dont get this mid life crisis crap. I wanted a fast bike that was proven ( Busa Engine=legend) so I bought it, end of story eat my shorts non Busa riders
