Oooops!

I'd turn the spring adjustment, tightening it, atleast 2 turns. You can use a hammer and a drift. Use a sharpie or something and mark the adjuster so you can monitor how many turns you've done. I did this to my rear shock and it helped me(I'm 290lbs suited).

Sorry man but you are never going to make it a good two up bike.

Tighten up the preload spring and it will help for two up riding but make it so stiff when your riding single it will jar your kidneys out with every bump.

Everyone has their reasons I suppose but I've never understood why anyone would want to stretch the rear on a stock bike. Drag racing, yes. But for every day riding to take a beautiful handling bike and make it ride like shites just never made sense to me?

You can handle just fine with a swingarm extention. It's the bike being lowered that sucks. And as you may know, if your gonna be extended, you want to be lowered.

Increasing the preload on the spring will stiffen your ride and will not sag as much for the same amount of weight, but as you increase preload, you're also reducing the shock travel available before the spring becomes stacked (solid). If you bottom out, then you basically have no rear suspension.

The proper way to do this is to find a shop/friend that does performance suspension work for motorcycles. You would need to have you and your passenger there. They should be able to set the static sag and the rider sag for your suspension. Due to the extra weight with a passenger, you will probably have to get a new spring for your shock with a different spring rate. This will give you the same travel with a greater load capability. The drawback will be when riding solo. You'll have WAY too much preload and this will make the Busa ride like a brick.

If you're going to be doing a lot of 2-up riding, then you may be able to find an air shock that you can adjust the pressure on. All you need is a small hand pump to increase the pressure. When you're riding solo, then drop the pressure. You can still have the sag set by the shop so that you know what pressure to run for each scenario. I don't kow if the make air shocks for the Busa...It's just an idea you might want to look into.

Good Luck

+1 on the preload adjustment.... You can also have the rear spring replaced or the inards redone! Both will do magic for your ride.  [/QUOTE]

Hey, Sony can you recommend a reputable shop that rebuilds. I think the added stress of mine being dropped an inch and with over 10,000 plus miles I'm long over due for a new setup or rebuild.
Hell, I will soon be needing to have the valves (motor) checked for adjustment (hint hint).

Holla
