Our other new toy...

(VaBusa @ Oct. 30 2006,09:24) Nice trailer!

I wish I could talk Mike in to buying one so our longer trips won't be so hard on us physically, but he refuses to ever trailer a bike...stubborn HD rider! LOL

Congrats!!

Wait... A Harley rider that DOESN'T Trailer it everywhere???

Man did he miss a memo... Surprised his local riders group hasn't lynched him yet. ACTUALLY riding a Harley? That's Crazy talk.

(Projekt @ Oct. 30 2006,14:10) You two and your toys.... I envy you...
Oh please... don't envy us~ We're just spending our retirement funds while we can still enjoy it~ Figure we'll just stick the kid with all the bills after we're dead and gone!

The best one we have found so far is at Target.

It's $45, it's light, and has 2 movable shelves. Big enough for 2 helmets side by side on a shelf. Plus room for cleaners and rags and stuff. It has a hole on the top of each handle so you can lock it shut (stuff doesn't fall out).

We were thinking of hanging it, and putting the spare tire beneath it. Or putting it on the floor and hanging the tire above it. Not sure yet.

Brenda,
I don't know if you remember my trailer, I parked it in your driveway at the spring bash.... mine is flat up front... yours being rounded will make a world of differnce!

I may as well be 80 years old the way my mind works.

But yes, we are hoping the v-nose will help on the gas consumption. Plus it gave us a few more cubic feet of space.

(heavybusa @ Oct. 30 2006,15:59) Is it better haul the bike on the rear stand?
The chocks we have lets the bikes sway a bit, and we didn't want them swaying into each other. With the rear stands, they go no where. We figure if the rear tire is strapped down as well.. then the stand can't come out.

And trust me, GJoker got in there and tried rocking his bike out of the whole chock/stand/tiedown thing and only succeeded in moving the trailer around on the driveway.
