Busa overheated today, all the fluid in the overflow bottle is gone. Have you had any problems like this ? Thermostat ? water pump ? Let me know, Thanks

Nope,no over heating problems here.I live in Orlando, the heat index here yesterday was 102 degrees.Busa purred like a kitten.

Flush the system and start new. I just flushed mine and put Maxima coolinol & water wetter.
coolinol is pre-mixed 50/50. I put the whole bottle of water wetter & then the Pre-mix. noticeably cooler running, Temp. mark is lower on the half way mark during normal cruising. my fan hasn't kicked in yet during stop & go traffic.

J.C. I topped it off put a little water wetter in it and let it idle for about 15 Min. in the driveway, the fan came on a couple of times, the temp. meter did not go past the middle mark (yet). I was about an hour into my ride when it started coming out the overflow yesterday. Hopefully there was just some crap in the system that made it overheat. The bike only has about 1600 miles on it. Sometimes I miss my oid reliable GS 1100. I know it does'nt have no where near the power but in 10 years I had no problems.

Motorhead, what could it hurt ??,,cause My Temp is running below half even while at idle for a while,,this is good No ??. Runnin good.
What if any harm could this do ??

When the bike is cold not started in a couple of hours. Remove the radiatior cap and check the radiator for coolant make sure it is topped off.
then fill the bottle to the low line.
Start bike and let it warm up and make sure the fan comes on before the needle get to the red line on the guage.
If fan does not come on tcheck the wires comming from the radiator switch(left side) make sure they are pluged in if so.
See a dealer.
I would need more info to futher dia.
