Cool, have a great time the rest of the trip.I rode with him Sunday! MJN is a great host! My friend and I called him when we were headed his way and he met us on the rode and guided us into the Starbucks for a visit and some route advice!!! It was a great pleasure to meet up with a fellow Hayabusa.org member!! I am having a great trip and just now stopped off at the local internet cafe to see what was up here!!! It is now 8:30PM and still 84 degrees. I'm currently in John Day Oregon and headed for Bend for a few days for some great day trips - i.e. Crater Lake for one. I'll be posting pics as soon as I get home!!! It has been great so far!Do you even have a bike ? Hey you guys , has anyone rode with this guy ?"the ride to mjn's is boring"................I'm hurt..........

There is nothing to talk about, TruWrecks told you everything you need to know in his post.Hey BV , no wonder you didn't say how the ride went . I just read Tru's post , was everyone else okay ? I guess we can talk about it Sunday , you still going right !?
I feel it's up to the individual. It can be boring as hell at times riding in a group. Most of the rides I've been on some of us break off and speed ahead and stop and wait for the rest of the group to catch up. Earlier this year the Mouth and I broke off from our Blue Knights group on Hwy 101 in N. California cause we were in some bodacious twisties that we could take in tripple digits. The group was doing the speed limit +5 or so. Having got the speed rush out of our systems we waited for the group to come along and we rejoined it.Welcome to the forum Mike, when you guys ride do you all like to stay together the whole ride or do you break up and let everyone ride their own pace thru the twisty parts etc?
No man when we get to a part of the ride that we want to take off and fly then we fly. usually the slower people stay to the back and the faster to the front....Dont be thinking that the gold wing doesnt move either. He usually can out do alot of sportbike riders in the twisties.Welcome to the forum Mike, when you guys ride do you all like to stay together the whole ride or do you break up and let everyone ride their own pace thru the twisty parts etc?
I guess I have not ridden on very many group rides with cruisers involved so I figured id better ask in advance because I dont want to get involved in a ride I might not enjoy or a ride where I make the other riders feel uncomfortable.
Ya what he said tooI feel it's up to the individual. It can be boring as hell at times riding in a group. Most of the rides I've been on some of us break off and speed ahead and stop and wait for the rest of the group to catch up. I guess what I'm saying is it's up to each individual.
Generally in a group ride we have locations where we are going to stop and we meet up there. If one is going to leave the group and not hook up later he/she should tell someone so we won't go looking for them thinking they may have had bike trouble or whatever.
This ride is to get out and enjoy the road, scenery, beautiful weather, and meet some of the people on the Hayabusa Board and other motorcyclists of like mind.
If you've never been riding along Hood Canal on Hwy 101 and Hwy 104 you are in for a treat. The road surface is good, twisties are many and if the traffic is not too heavy you can play hide n seek with the local radar operators.
As Neeley posted earlier there is some great scenery to be experienced, especially the 37 miles of twisties along Hood Canal on 101.
Come on down. You'll have fun. Any questions you have can be answered during breakfast at Hawks Prairie Inn. Hope you can make it.
Mike
Ya right on man I new you had it in ya. See ya bright and earlySounds good Mike count me in then. Yeah things seem to work themselves out, if I am in a lead pack of bikes
just based on the speed we are doing well only go so far before stopping and waiting...or if we got to an intersection
or something and did not know the route wed stop. If I can get a few nice runs in and get it out of my system then I
can get back in the group and chill for awhile...I like to mix it up.
I look forward to meeting you all on Sunday.
I will be meeting Kilroy and Neeley in Woodinville @ 6:15am....guess that means I gotta
leave Bellingham at 4:45am or so.Then us three are heading to Southcenter then onto![]()
