Pacific Northwest

Gabe and I have actually been e-mailing each other a lot lately trying to get everything organized. My dad should be dropping everything off for install tomorrow. You know, you keep doing all this nice stuff to help me out and I'm going to have to buy you a steak dinner or something.

Well...it looks like my bike is down for the count this season.  It gave up on I5 Saturday and left me stranded.  It got kinda jerky around HWY 2 and then started full on missing on cylinder number 2.  I got over to the shoulder and my neighbor was nice enough to come get me.  Man its embarrassing to have a chick on a Harley stop and ask you if you needed any help.  And thanks to the two aholes on Honda CBRs who wound up to rev limits on your way by me.  bobos.
Anyway, I think I have oil in the number 2 cylinder.  Ill do compression checks tomorrow but Im sure its valves/rings for me.  It runs now...but when I run up the RPMs I get LOTS of white smoke.  I let it run for half an hour or so to run out the remnants in cylinder 2, and it idles fine, but when I crank it up I get smokey.  Wonderful.  Might as well get frame off and get it powder coated while Im at it.  Anybody got valves/rings/gaskets/etc?  Lol.

PSST BIGSMOOTH.... Its time too go TURBO..

Sorry to hear that this happened at the begining of the season

BTW were you on the spray when it gave up?

Hey 321...long time. No I wasnt on spray. Matter of fact...I had only used it once this season so far. Still have half a bottle or so. And as far as turbo goes, I remember all the hassle that TurboJohn was going thru. No thanks. Now big bore is definitely an option...like 1397 or so. Bigger IS better....
And Tru, thanks for the offer. I might just take you up on that. Me and Goldenchild is gonna figure out whats going on and then take it from there.

Get it to me I will see what's up,could be something simple..I can run up and grab it if ya can meet me...

I'm down to just about 42 days or so, give or take a day or two either way. Almost home! Ah yes, I'm making preparations to have my bike dyno broken and tuned. If anyone would like to be there for that just let me know and I'll see if I can get the exact day and time.
If they can't get you in lmk and I will open the doors for ya..

Bigsmooth, sorry to hear about your issue. It sucks to do all the work and end up just getting back to where you were. My bike is down too. The 50k miles of abuse finally manifested in the form of braze glitter in the oil. After the tear down and inspection it appears as though it would have gone another 10k miles easy. These motors can take a serious beating! Regarding turbos, I only had a hassle because I bought a bike that had an out dated, zillion year old, no tech support kit on it. If you got a kit from RCC or Daniel you'd have no problems at all, especially if you stuck to 6 lbs. They come pre-mapped and have no problems at all. Maybe we'll both have our bikes up an running by Oyster bay.
Those guys on the Hondas must have known that the only time they can taunt a Busa and get away with it is when the Busas are broken. I'm also sure they would have been nice and humble if you happened to bump into them at the next gas station, especially if you got close enough for them to notice that you're big enough to throw most standard sized humans 10 or 20 feet up in the air.

Tru when did you do your track day ? Was it on the 11th ? If so one of my sons was there on a black Triumph 675 . ( my Korean son )

Can't wait to meet you Army ! To day is my birthday and i'm working in the house . Pulling out the old tub , we are installing a new jetted tub !

Well I was hoping to have pictures but I'll tell anyway . About 4 weeks ago my wife and I had a day together planned ( NO KID ). Anyway , she decides to go get her nails done so I said well then I'm going to go to the shop . I knew they were having an open house and show . I get there about 10 minutes before the show judging begins and my friend says enter quik! SO I do , there were a couple of bikes that were very nice , I even voted for one of THEM . Well while we were all waiting I win the raffle for a leather jacket . Then to my surprize I win BEST OF SHOW and BEST CUSTOM SPORTBIKE !!! It was a good day . The wife had to come to the shop to carry my jacket and trophies . I will post a pic as soon as I get one from the shop . The judges told me I would have had peoples choice if there hadn't been an original Indian there . Some of the guys there were mad cause I just pulled in at the last minute and they had been there all day . ( Lifes a ***** )!

Nice job Frisbee!!! That do be a sweet looking ride you got there. I pulled out of the dyno competition at Cycle Barn cuz Lynnwood Motoplex had a sponsored bike there with a big bore and nice wet shot system on it. Ida got creamed. Dang cheaters.
Daniel, I could meet you but Im leaving for Disneyland on Thursday morning. Best I could do is Wednesday night and Im not about to put you out like that. If you really plan on coming way up here I could give you my neighbors phone number and he'll give you my bike if you're up this way. He has the keys to my house and I can leave the keys in my bike for you. Whatever. Or it can wait til I come back. I quit my weekend job to concentrate on my family and getting my business going better so I have lots of time to come bring it to you. Im in the process of designing/building a bike ramp to get the bike on the truck too so no need for a trailer. We will see. Ill do compression checks later tonight.
Thanks

That needs to be personal goals for you guys to have your rides up and running by Oyster Run... I want to be one of the biggest groups of Sport Bikes there. I should have several Army people that I work with coming along, and I'd like to have you guys there too, we can all make a day of it. If not then you guys are just going to have to drive the cages!

Seriously though, a few of us are really looking forward to going this year since I've never been and I'll have a shiny K8 to ride there. We can have some beers, or tea, or soda with my Mom since she lives in Anacortes
