Pacific Northwest

Ok - whatever. I guess all doctors and all circumstances are different. I had two major rotator tears, a bicep tear, calcium deposit and bone spur......so that might be why I was so immobilized.

Well don't put 40 lbs in your back pack :poke:

The bike was supporting most of that while I ride. The clavicle sticking out of my shoulder was the main complainer during the ride down. The back pack would have been 10 lbs lighter if I didn't need ot bring the work laptop with me this week.

Anywho, we are waiting for a tow truck to jump start the bus. A Eugene company is sending one over the get things rolling again. I should be in Vancouver sometime after midnight.

Yes. The battery is dead. They left the lights on inside while the engine was off. They didn't keep the battery charged enough turn the starter.

What a time. I finally made it home. I missed my train in Vancouver this afternoon because a freight train blocked the road into the station. Several people got caught waiting as the Cascade train left for Seattle. I caught the train that I was supposed to be on, but a day later, heading to Seattle. I had my roomie drive downtown to pick me up before someone assumed I was a homeless person.

Way too quiet here! How's everyone doing lately? Just got back from my parents place. My dad is settling in well and starting the recovery process.

Hey Doug,

It is very quiet on this thread. My dad is not doing well and we are spending a lot of time at the hospital. He had emergency surgery for a perforated bowel and has probable colon cancer. We find out in the next few days. I'm happy that my sisters and I all live right here so we can help take care of him and my mom.

Although than that it is just work, school and sleep. I did get a couple of good rides in. Steve and I went to Eastern Washington last weekend. It was great.

Hope you are doing well.

Wow....it IS quiet in here!

Teresa, your dad is doing better...right?

Doug, sorry to hear about your latest back issue man, that sucks big time. Hope you heal up soon!

SG I hope your Dad does better . My dad is starting Cemo this week fo rthe same thing . I will add him to my prayers.

I know aging is something we all face, but this cancer thing is out of hand. And if anyone knows how to strengthen lumbar discs please let me know. :banghead:

SG and frisbee, I wish the best for your dads.

Thanks Doug. We will miss you this year and I hope you feel better soon. I wish I had a magic cure but there isn't one. How did you do it BTW? Take care of yourself!

Dad is doing better. They transfered him today to a nursing home for a bit before he goes home. I'm headed over there right now to visit for awhile. He has been in this home before and they are GREAT! It's nice to know he is in good hands.

We still don't have an answer on the cancer issue. Seems like they could find out quickly but they wanted to wait to take the biopsy until he had healed a little more. ??????
