Palin gets Mavericky - Sells out the Tea Party

True, but you have to have someone at the top if you ever want a real organization. Glenn Beck is a pseudo Tea Party leader too, although he will deny it. There has to be people to rally around if you really want to enact change. Otherwise you're just a bunch of people standing in a field yelling. ;)

Yelling and VOTING...

The tea party is only going to grow and grow...

If the new ObamaKare isn't taxation without representation...I don't know what is.

BECK RULES

If you don't watch him it's because your afraid or want to bury your head in the sand...the "don't confuse me with facts..." mentality.

As long as they don't start a 3rd party, we'll be ok. Change from within the Republican party is what is necessary. Otherwise we're going to ensure a Democratic victory by splitting the Conservative vote.

I do watch Beck. In fact, I was listenting to him on the radio in Tampa before anyone here knew who he was. He's a great guy, fabulous entertainer and a very good conspiracist. I filter what he broadcasts. Much of what he says is very true, much of it is conspiracy B.S. I carry a pouch with many grains of salt when I listen/watch him.

When I said "you" I was speaking rhetorically...(no personal poke intended)

I just started watching him about a year ago, lot of his stuff and his
predictions seem pretty spot on.

Reading "arguing with idiots" right now...
I agree with a lot of his stuff in the book and everytime
he uses a fact, he backs it up with a source.

That's ok, I want McCain to go and I still love Palin. She will go far with the tea Party. The reason why she is stumping for McCain is because she feels that she owes him because he is the one who brought her into the political spot light. Her support for McCain is a one shot deal and she honored her word to help him. She will move on and help the tea party. The libs will try to make hay out of this and accuse Palin of being soft because she supported McCain. Well us conservatives are not going to fall for the liberal tricks this time. The tea party and real conservatives are going to expose the RINOS and liberals and get them out this November. Palin is awesome and a valued member of the American people and tea party members. We are not going to be fooled this time, the people are mad and pay back is coming this November.......det45

So for those of you that are paying attention to localized races, John McCain is fighting for his political life in a primary of all things. He is running against J.D. Hayworth, former Congressman, author and radio host. He is very outspoken and considered a hardened Conservative by most, especially when compared to McCain whom is considered a moderate Republican at best.

So why has Palin, a major figurehead in the Tea Party movement, come to McCain's side during what is most assuredly a fight for Conservatism in that state? Why would a supposedly strict Conservative with the backing of an ultra conservative/libertarian Tea Party support a left leaning moderate Republican? What possible motive could she have?

I'm rather surprised that no major media outlets have covered this, because in my estimation, it conveys the ultimate measure of hypocrisy of a woman that by most estimations had a strong measure of integrity, if nothing else.

it looks to me like the "Tea Party" has no real leader...or leadership. this may be a good or bad thing, i don't know right now....

I think some of the party is trying to find leaders, just like the media is trying to find the "Leader" and maybe is hoping/trying to tell everyone its Palin....

they need to find the leaders, so they can start to tea them down....

Palin is not the leader of the Tea PArty, i do not even know if she is a real member. she is just a paid speaker.

What is a "real member?" I don't think they have an official membership since their entire movement is pretty decentralized.

so then how can she sell out a party...she does not belong to?

how can you be a leader of a group without a centralized leadership group...

how can you sell out, if they are paying you to be a featured speaker?

so then how can she sell out a party...she does not belong to?

She's a defacto leader in my opinion. She carries the torch for the group. She sold out on the ideals that we have come to understand from them and the ideals that she has preached while speaking to them. paid or not, it's unwise to engage in double-speak when you're trying to be a purveyor of truths.

Figures.....libs chiming in, thats your right however not to worry, everyone will know the tea party and what they represent this November no matter how much the libs and main stream media lie. Us conservatives and the American people are on to you all so keep on talking (November is coming).....
