This beast is still in the family....I gave it to my older son......

He said he likes how it sounds more than his GSX750......and I agree....

Does that son live far away?
As in; do you ever get a chance to ride with him, or ride the Katana on occasion?
I know you've said they're both military guys.
I wonder how it feels to step off the Busa and on to that?
I've done similiar many times, and gotten off of a modern sportbike and on to a classic.
You can tell right away the improvements since...but they're still hard to beat.

The son who has it lives quite a distance away...in Nova Scotia....and the eastern side to boot....

We fly out to visit him a couple times a year and normally he makes a trip up to see us in the summer and will trailer his and his lady's bikes....she rides a Honda 500 Scrambler......

The last time I was there in the fall, I sat on it and boy does it feel narrow compared to the Bumblebee...but it still sounds awesome.....it has a rare Harris exhaust on it from England.

He doesn't ride it anymore, it is tucked away in a shed while he rides his GSX750.

When he was up last summer we switched bikes and his little Suzuki felt like a tinker-toy....there was a time when I told him to give the Bumblebee the beans and I would give his bike the beans also....we came to the spot on the road and even though I was punching that 750 for everything it had, he disappeared into the distance pretty quickly....

We switched back as soon as I caught up and he said he had to or he'd die on that thing.....it's just too fast for his liking....

When I had the old Katana, I also had a fleet of other bikes so it only got ridden once on a while.....oddly enough, whenever I did ride it, it drew the biggest crowd when I stopped somewhere.....people didn't believe how old it was as it has a kind of timeless style to it.
