Does anyone have any idea why the little scrape indicators on the end of the pegs are different lengths? The left side is longer that the right side. Is it just my bike? I bought it new. I was going to replace the right side from a slide so I ordered both sides and they were different? just wondering what the plan was for it? Mine is a 2000.

cause one of the engine cover sticks further than the other one. so ou scrap your pegs before you scrap your engine covers.

That makes sence.

Never thought of that. Glad I kept them the same as stock and didn't change them to make them both short.

hehe, cuz you scrapped one side down while you didn't the other??

I never realized one was longer than the other...

course I did the buell peg mod and got rid of them all together.

lol... my feet stick out with the b oots I have on and they scrape before the peg... Scraped my left toe for the first time the other day in a 180 uphill hairpin. spooked me and I tweaked the throttle and wheelied while still most of the way leaned. Spooky.
