Pics from black bike week

All I see is a bunch of hideous, tasteless, and tortured machines...  Didn't see but one or two bikes that I would actually take out in public.

What's the deal?  Has taste become such a scarce commodity?

I'm all for to each their own, but WTF?  There is a point where it cannot possibly be some individuals ideas, not when it's all corporate sellout and committee design...  Horrible things, less expressive design, and more "who can I impress with my total lack of class and taste?"

I see a couple that look like they are actually something built with heart, with some love,

otherwise...  yeah not so much...
+1

I did like the POW bike and the black 08 that was pretty much stock.  All the rest looked the same to me.  Streched out blah blah blah.

Thanks for sharing the pix Darth.  Always interesting to see bike week pix

+2 There should be a law.

Great quality pics though, thanks for sharing.

A lot of respect for those that are actually did "THEIR OWN THING", the Copper plate wheels are amazing, etc... It's just the corporate themes, the Brand names on the bikes etc.. Just bad.

Revlis, I agree with you. I like a few of the bikes myself. Some of them would have sat better in my mind without the stretching.
The Performance machine bike was built by Roland Sands under contract for them much Like the Orange County Chumps build bikes for Snap-on, Napa, Miller Welding and the such. These have to be built to the customers specs or you wont be paid. This whole bike thing wether it be Busa's or Choppers is getting out of control in my opinion. What happened to the old days when you built it YOURSELF. Not farm it out to some shop because you have all the money in the world and no skills.
Just my 2 cents.

Although I'm not into the whole stretched and chrome themed sport bikes, I do appreciate the time, money and creativity that goes into them...and like I said early...a big fan of folks that share pics of bikes on this forum...

You beat me to it Revils. I sometimes wonder if these people have any idea what the bike is gonna look like. All i see is a LOT of waisted money, un geared riders, and machines that have been put to the curb for display. They should be obligated to put one of those "for display purposes only" signs on.
Some of these guys/companies should be slapped in the mouth

just because you dont like it does that mean its a waist? All those bike are and have been riden while down there at bike week and most were riden pretty hard. They did spend some rediculous money on them but to each his own. And no they were not corporate bike either. They belonged to and were made for actual people. For example the green one with the dollar bills on it. You know, the one that had the guy sitting on it with the sombrero. That one was built for shaq which he turned around and sold. the point is dont complain about others bikes just because you dont like it. It is still a bike that rides.

Eh....

Honestly, I think a lot of the graphic ideas were really interesting and executed extremely well. Visually, many of the bikes are interesting to the eye and well put together.

However, as a motorcyclist that actually rides his Busa, many of these almost make me ashamed to even own one.

It's truly sad to see such horrible things done to such a nice bike.

Yes, it is my opinion and mine alone. I do not expect anyone, much less everyone, to share my sentiment.
