Can you get those rotors with black carriers and black buttons? Hmmm...???

Galfer Carriers already come in flat black. Although anodizing them gives them a slight sheen to them.
But yes, could do Black on Black rotors. that would be pretty cool.

Closest pic I've got to showing black anodized buttons.

Still setting up the front end ?
Nice gear :)
The front end is now basically set up , but it's winter down under , and haven't hit my favorite hills roads as yet for fine adjustment ( but got out for a few pics the other day ) . I suspect there maybe some compression adjustment needed , but first impressions are all very good . The Ohlins instructions really make it easy for average rider to dial in a good starting point , once the static sag has been set , both without and with rider . My settings are within the recommended range , which allow 4 clicks either way plus / minus for both compression and rebound respectively . The FGRT208 fork are close to 2kg lighter per leg than the stock legs with the Ohlins 30mm cartridges . That was very noticeable on my initial ride . I will update my findings on first spirited ride in hills next opportunity . Currently on waiting list for hip replacement , could be called up anytime soon , so want to get the busa tested asap . Updating the rear to TTX36 in a couple of weeks , so got to get that set up also .
Cheers

Hi ROADTOAD1340. Please tell more about the FGRT208 focks are they for gen 2 only? I have a gen 1 with the axiel brakes not the 08 up brakes. Thanks.
Thanks Mike for your interest ,but firstly , got to say, I am no expert on the Gen 1 or 2 for that matter , and any Ohlins discussion involving me will be layman at best . Anyway , the FGRT200 is the fork series , 8 is the Busa model and the 200 features the big 30mm cartridge , replacing the former 25mm cartridge . The 200 series features all adjustments at the top of fork , so allowing easy access for rider . The machined lowers , billet aircraft grade aluminum is not only lighter and stiffer than cast variant Ohlins fork , but aesthetically beautiful . Each fork body is fully machined as expected , but has been designed to both maximize stiffness and reduced weight . The inner surface of each leg is also finely machined . The 43mm stanchion is ti-nitride gold , proven and also pleasing to the eye . Interesting to note , the Suzuki DLC stanchion (diamond like coating ) is supposed to be the most efficient anti stichion coating around . Ohlins supply brackets and hardware , including 4 x M8 tapered titanium axle pinch bolts which is nice . The weight saving compared to standard busa gen 2 is outstanding , close to 4 kg set . The FGRT 208 dimensions are the same as Gen 2 50mm top / 55mm bottom . My fork are set up with roughly 129mm stroke , and length of the Ohlins is longer than stock , by 5mm overall . The instruction is very good , easy to follow and provide recommended setting range . If purchased from a Ohlins retailer , you can have the fork sprung for your weight . This should be done in purchase price deal . To be sprung for your weight is an absolute necessity , all adjustments depend on this being right .
The swapping over from Gen 1 inverted axial fork to Gen 2 radial fork has been described numerous times i believe , in this very forum . I myself have not looked into it , but should be possible , depending on / if any rake and trail changes from Gen 1 to Gen 2 . If you did go the complete full Gen 2 swap over , the FGRT208 forks will be a possible option over buying stock Gen 2 legs . Conversely , you may find some of the older 25 mm cartridge Ohlins , with billet lowers and bolt on caliper brackets , axial / radial both possible, the base fork , like fitted to 998r Ducati etc . You may need custom yokes ( triple clamps ). Webike Japan have a selection of companies who make radial caliper mounts for those forks with 108mm spacing , opening the door to radial Brembo calipers etc . Once set up , the Ohlins superior ride quality is apparent as soon as you take off , both the smoothness and precision feedback to rider is special , you know and can feel your bike is now gifted with enhanced agility , rough patches and ripple bumps that usually annoy or worse, upset your bikes line , are now easily absorbed and recovery is seamless almost , so your ride comfort and sure footed stability does not skip a beat . Ohlins busa applications are diverse , there is a fellow , eastern states of OZ , who runs a stock wheelbase mid to high 8 second first gen busa , sporting cut down Ohlins fork , www.bikereview.com.au under custom bike . A close mate of mine , owns a 2010 busa , sister bike to mine , runs full Ohlins and all the handling mods . I could name others , but we all just wanted the best readily available components for our bikes , and Ohlins is the business . If you can spare the funds , treat yourself and your steed to a set of these european beauties , pretty certain you won't regret it .
Cheers
