i have 2 on my digital camera. one with stock and one with the new pipes. the camera was in the same location for both. i will try to get it onto youtube tonight. i will post the link.
definitely looks cool. i know $300 for a set is definitely a good deal!
I'm surprised they're not a bit louder than what you're saying.
My modded stock exhaust is freaking loud. I'm surprised that it even got to that level but so far I'm pleased. I don't particulary like being loud but hell it's gotten me noticed where I would have otherwise been cut off by a car driver.
Here is what I did to mine... cut the ugly inner tip off, cut 4 1/2" holes between each of the can cover bolts, fitted couple layers of chicken wire and painted with black matte thermal paint.
Nothing fantastic but saved me a couple bucks till I can afford better pipes..
Maybe those CF will be next, they seem to be affordable and look cool!
That last pic you posted looks like the inlet base flange is machined so that the mufflers will angle in at the rear of the bike like the Yoshimura bolt-on's do.
You might take another look to see if you have these mufflers mounted on the correct side and if you do reverse them, the hanger straps might could go inside the peg mount " tire side " .
I could be wrong but thats what it's looking like from the pic posted . Might be they sent you two right side mufflers . Might be I am terribly wrong on all this
