Congrats, enjoy it...
I LOVE it.. I'm used to the weight, so that's no big deal (the Katana was only 50 pounds lighter) but the power is FUN!! I'm trying my best to keep it under 5k rpms, but had a little passing to do on one ride and kinda went over , and had to try and take GJoker off the line at a stop light.. andddd.. kinda went over...Congrats Kat uh, uh I mean Ladyhawkvery nice Busa how you liking it so far?
Compared to my Kat,, it's like it floats on air. Effortless, quiet, and power at the touch of the throttle.
GJoker suggested I ride his Friday night to make sure I was making the right choice.. and after I figured out the throttle "movement" I was good to go.
I have a bad back, and was concerned about the riding position, since it's a tad bit more aggresive than the Kat. After riding GJoker's I was hurting, and thought "Oh no... this isn't going to work", but didn't want to give up the Busa. The first hour on mine I was a hurting girl... but my back must have stretched out, or I found the right position on the seat, and the pain eased up. So I don't think that's going to be a problem.
I love it.
Woooo hooooo, is it 5pm yet??? All this talk makes me want to RIDE!!!
Yes GJoker is coveting it also. I've caught him out in the garage staring at it several times.I gotta watch him, or one day I'll come home to an 06 with blue and silver 04 plastics on it!

I've been riding every day, and getting used to it.
I might be dodging rotten tomatoes here, but it's almost like riding the Katana... just lots more power. I thought it was gonna whip my hiney, but it's really as tame as you want it to be.
Maybe I feel that way since I haven't gone much above 5k rpms.... I might be singing a different song once I'm done with the break-in.
Although it did get away from me once. I had a moment of "oh shyte", and had to apply some brake-age real fast. Lesson learned there- "Do not whack the throttle like you did on the Kat"

Congratz and nice color choice. I am definately enjoying mine as well. This being my first street bike, I havent stopped smiling for 8 days now (except when I can't ride). Getting service done this week to enable me to see what this thing will do above 6K rpms. Wish I was going to the bash, maybe next time.

Well I'd just feel kinda funny riding a girl... although GJoker might like it..
As of last night, when I got done with a quick 20 mile run.. 354 miles.Yeah, I like the name too!
So, how many miles now Brenda?
GJoker has been riding it to work for me, to rack up some miles. His is a 40 +/- mile round trip. I don't ride it to commute.. if you've ever driven Highway 19 during rush hour(s) you'd understand. 19 has 3 of the top 10 most dangerous intersections in Florida, and I go through all 3 , twice a day. I'm counting myself lucky to make it, as long as I have, in my car.. (Knock on wood).
I've got the service scheduled for Friday afternoon. And my hump has some blemishes in the paint,, it's not the clear coat, it's in the paint.. so I want them to replace it. On the ridge of the hump, from front to back, it looks like something rolled down the paint when it was wet.. like a cloth, or somebody's sleeve or something. Very noticable. It should be covered on the warranty. Better be...
Hopefully we can ride some this weekend too.. Cuz we will be leaving early Thursday for the Bash.
