Please please please..  help me get a busa......

Just wait till Captain gets his Calendar and then he'll be able to let you know that its really a good calendar and not just something that someone put together in five minutes.  It took a loot of hard work.  My job is being a photographer and doing stuff like this, I guess what I should say is trying to save up money in a faster way to get a busa...  I just want to be like all of you...

No doubt you have a quality product. And I for one would probably buy one, but not to help you get a Busa. I would buy it based on the product. If your long term goal is to buy a Busa that's great and I encourage you to pursue it. I think in marketing you should focus on the product and not the personal gain behind selling it. I know you got a lot of grief from the folks here (I think most of it was in fun). I am glad it hasn't discouraged you to point of giving up. Keep plugging away but focus less on the rewards and more on the product and I think you will be more successfull. Just my 2 cents.

Welcome to the Board my friend.

Folks are a little skeptical here because of a few situations here over the past month or so.... Here is what I propose... You send me one of your calendars and when I receive it I will review the quality and make sure that this is on the up and up....... If what I get is what you advertise then I will let everyone know. I am pretty confident that most of the folks here trust me.. Unitl then I wouldnt expect a large response from the members, I am already getting emails and messages about this post.

Cap
right on cap. sounds like a great idea

Wow, so much drama over one little calender. Everyone needs to relax on here and not take this thing personally. The guys just trying to sell his calender and make money to buy a busa. Instead of supporting him in his endeavor all of you are getting on his case. Don't tell him what he can or can not do. If you dont want to buy the calender, then just say "No thanks." And thats it.

Hadiiz-

How bout we come to your site (that costs you a fortune to run) and try to hawk some chit on it without asking or without helping you with your overhead??

Your reply will say alot about your intelligence.

Just relax? my arse m8......

The mods on this site have no problem with this gentleman's post so neither should you. I was merely trying to alleviate the situation since this particular gentleman was being bombarded with negative posts. And please don't question my intelligence because I highly doubt you could determine anyone's intelligence from the posts they make.

I don't know what you've been reading, but 2 mods and the owner have expressed concern over this. Alleviating the situation is the mods job. You've been on the board less than 3 months and this is your biggest contribution to date. Doesn't quite qualify you as a mod now, does it.

I believe the orginal quote from the captain is as follows:

"Folks are a little skeptical here because of a few situations here over the past month or so.... Here is what I propose... Nowhere in that post does the captain ask girlsriding.com to delete his post or refrain from selling his calender on this website, ergo the gentleman was given the green light and an alternate method was suggested by the captain, who as you can surely see, is trying to help girlsriding.com with his calender sales. And please refrain from personal attacks, just because I've been a member of this board for only three months, does not take away my privilege to post here and "alleviate" a situation. Also, nowhere in my posts have I implied my status to be of a moderator.

Don't tell me I shouldn't have a problem with a first post "beg and hawk".

So your opinion is that we should allow anyone who has something to sell, and wants a Busa, to use this site without checking with the owner or making a contribution?

The situation that needs alleviated is the way he went about his 'proposal'. The content doesn't help either, but I'm sure you know that. I carry no weight here, but like you, I am free to post. My concern here is for the site. Is your concern for a 'first poster' to be able to hawk some blue calender and beg for a donation?

There was no question about your intelligence. Posts are the same as a conversation, and I think it's a fairly easy determination.

no worries guys....by the time Doug gets the calender, looks it over, and gets back to the calender guy....

it'll be about 2008.

The calendar was delivered to captain(Doug) on monday, but he wasnt home an so they attempted deliver again yesterday. I havent heard from him yet today. Plus the calendar has 16 months.. 12 full size and 4 quarter size months. They make good posters too! But how does this sound... since I did put the post up without checking to see if its cool then I will donate 25% of the calendar sales(maybe this can help out with the raffle thing going on) from this site to Hayabusa.org, and not only that, but after I sell enough to buy a busa with I'll donate 100 calendars for the site to use for whatever raffles or giveaways they want. I would like to be a contributing part of this site, just started off in a bad way.

You might have more favor of the gods if you contributed now.
