Ok for those unfamiliar with the word a " Poo-kah" is a hole. I have been thinking about this for some time and would really like to do something about the holes in mid frame. Ideally I would like a chrome cap with the Kanji symbol on it. But would settle for a plain plastic or rubber cap or ? ? ? any suggestions guyz or girlz?

Thanx - KMC

Hawaiibusa,
A new word! Now when I call someone an ASSPUKA, they'll have no idea what I'm sayin'? Unless they're from Hawaii, then they'll say "Stupid haole!".

Home Depot or Lowe's would probably have some of those black plastic caps, or you could try a "pick 'n' pull" junk yard to find some sort of plastic/rubber fitting (maybe in the firewall area?).

Good luck!

I have solved this problem with caps from Home Depot, but they are shiny matching my polished frame. For the larger holes, I had to improvise. Let me show you a picture in the next couple of days. I am very happy with the results.

Greg for some reason you were the 1st guy to come to mind on this but thought I would open up to the group anyway... yes please post a close up shot if you can, and 1 of your license frame too. Thanx

and Juggler its "Okole Puka" ( OH KO LAY - POO KAH )

Keep em guessin...

OK...I had other stuff I wanted to complete before pics, but I will snap a few of the new pipes, screen mod and hole covers. Actually, let me see if I have a pic of my friend's bike. He told me how to do this one.

Found it...This is Easy E's (Chicago) bike. He reads the board from time to time, but too lazy to join. You will meet him at Laguna.

Thinker,

That is sweet looking. So where did you get the plugs? Did you get all of them at HD?

OK, you can get these caps from HD. They are in the a big drawer unit in the screw/ bolts, nuts isle. Now the largest ones they had didn't fit the big holes like I wanted them to, so I had to improvise. That "bubble" looking cap actually came from the plumbing department. It was part of a drain plug...you know pull up the rod and the plug drops down to plug the sink. So I bought that and took a dremmel to it.

Even though those caps have a bunch of little tension springs all the way around, they will not stay in the holes. My friend told me to use 3M "Yellow Glue", which I thought was too messy, and I will have to do some work to clean it off my polished frame. So I quickly switched to silicone. That worked better, and I figure the caps will still pop off if I need to get them off.

a sink plug!!!!!!! your killing me....... ( I would have never known....... HA! )

Hahahahaha! Look closely at the raised one. I think it says "PUSH" or something like that.

On the underside of the tank is a trim. It is the same stuff as the windshild trim you see on my bike. It really cleans up the ruff edge of the bottom of the tank. That was another idea I got from my buddy. Look above. He has a chrome colored one on his Black/Silver.

Thanks again guys.

Hey, Thinker!

Post more bike pix! You shouldn't torture your 'Busa Brothers like that!
I have plenty of pics around. I just put on new Throttle Meisters. The large polished bar ends look great. I am taking on the yellow turn signals this weekend, so I will show more pics when done with that.

Right there with ya Thinker,

I'm putting in the Clear Alternatives front turn sigs. Also using the Titanium amber bulbs to hide the yellow glow when the bulb is not on. They will be crystal white when not illuminated and blend with the metallic silver paint there much better than those yellow lenses.

You are goint to love the Throttlemeisters too. That was the very first mod I did after buying the Busa. Shortly after, I rode to Laguna Seca (last year) and the wrist was in great shape. They look outstanding too. May help reduce vibrations a little being so heavy on the end of the bars.

You get an A+ for thinking outside the box and using the plumbing parts to hide the frame holes. But then you are the Thinker!
