I did the +1" in the rear and used a set of heli-bars and a genmar 1" riser. I loved the feel of the +1's in terms of quicker turn in and front end feel. Because I had the gen mar riser I decided to also try lowering the front 1". It made the bike almost unstable it was so twitchy even with the appropriate suspension adjustments and it placed a lot more weight on my wrists having both the rear raised and the front lowered. I would suggest either 1" higher in the rear or 1" lower in front but not both.
