kind of wonder why he ran, cops are usualy pretty forgiving to their own

if he would have stopped right away I bet the officer would have even giving him a ride home since he was drunk.. some people arn't so bright.

If you get a ticket for going 12 miles over the speed limit, why the heck should a cop be exempt from
obeying the same law?

This "I'd never give another cop a ticket" is HORSESH&^^% and hypocritical.

Police give breaks not only to LEO. If you have a good record an aren't racing or trying to double the speed limit any one can catch a break sometime. Written warning instead of a ticket.

yeah but...there is a huge difference between possibly, maybe, catching a break and

"I won't ticket another police officer"

and I garantee LEOs get a ton of "breaks" compaired to the everyday joe...again...that's not right.

Sorry its a fact of life most police officers do not ticket other officers.

Right or wrong ... just the way it is.

Me ...I have ticketed an officer.

I look at this way.........every time an officer has to pursue a person breaking the law, it puts that officer and others in harms way.
How would I feel if an officer pursuing (not a chase, just trying to make a traffic stop) me crashed and died? What if he/she was run over stepping out of the patrol car?
It would be the result of my actions and I would feel responsible.
Granted there is assumed and accepted risk for police.....I don't want to add to it.
Being pulled over to me is embarrassing and shameful.
It is much better to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

For sure justyn, won't argue against that, but doesn't that make this article even more humorous. I saw an undercover get a ticket an charged for an accident for driving on the emergency lane by a trooper when an incident happened on the travel lanes an it bleed off into the emergency lane narc was with his lights off rolling down on the e-lane called everyone except his mother to get out of the ticket didn't help we were laughing all day.

cops cut other cops breaks because you never know who will the one guy your counting on to have your back when it matters most.
