Ok well.....I did it!!! Picked up an 05 Limited, and all I can say is WOW! Why have I waited so long to do something so wonderful for myself! Not sure if I got a good deal, but this is the scoop. A 50 year old guy purchased my Busa and took it to Chicago. He got back home and sounds like the wife got upset so he returned it and purchased a Suzuki Boulevard. So I got the Busa with 1300 miles on it, full warranty, tax & title out the door for $10,100.00 and get a free oil change and they gased it up for me. Bike was never titled so Im first owner ( the guy got it on a friday night 2 weeks ago, and brought it back on Monday morning - they had no time to do the paperwork so Suzuki said sell it as a demo with full waranty). Did I do good on the deal? So I absolutely love the color, the handeling is like a razor, and very very comfortable. Only thing Im not sure about is if it had its first oil change and it has 1300 miles on it, Im gonna get it changed real soon, but Should I be real worried if the guy didnt do the 500 mile oil change? I got to talk to the original guy who purchased it, and he didnt seem like he was an idiot, so Im guessing he broke the engine in properly, or hoping at least. I will try to post some pics this week....Thaks for everyones help,

Damn! I'm jealous. I'm thinking about getting one myself...that's why I'm on the boards. Did you get the special offer financing ($139/mo. for 60 mo. or something like that)?

NEED INPUT. I'm thinking very strongly about getting the Busa, but need help to determine the factors in my decision. I have five of them and your input will way heavily on me joining Da' Busa Club.

#1 Insurance: I'm 34 y/o male, married, no tickets, FL resident, current auto w/ GEICO. Is State Farm the best? Need to stack auto and bike together?

#2 Experience: I've had 3 motorcycles growing up (100cc, 250cc, 600cc) but have not ridden regularly in about 8 years. Is it just like riding a bike? I believe I can handle the learning curve for the Busa. Not trying to break any speed records just speed limits. Kidding officer.

#3 Ergonomics & Comfort: At 6'2"-6'3" @ 210 lbs. would you Busa riders recommend risers for the handlebars. The bike seems to have a longer reach, as do I, so I thought it would fit my frame as is. Also, my wife said I can get a sport bike as long as it's comfortable for her as well (5'6" @ 140lbs...trying to get to 120lbs). Will this bike be comfortable for her so I don't have to hear it:angry: or is a Torbin type seat a must?

#4 Reliability/Maintenance: I felt confident about the dependability, fit and finish factor until I read the threads about Busa problems and difficulties w/ warranty work. Honestly, how concerned should I be?

#5 New or Used: I'm very skeptical about buying such a sports machine from a previous owner. You just don't know what they have done or haven't done w/ the bike. Also, won't I get a better financing offer on a new Busa? I can pay the offered low monthly payments for the term period and then refinance later. Right?

I will appreciate the feedback.

You'll be fine , I'm 6' 200lbs and ride year round . I can't tell youabout two up riding , my girls scared of the thing (all bikes). I know someone with 80,000 miles . iv'e put 30,000 on my 1st one and still runs great.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, frisbee. Looks like you've taken care of the bike and vice versa because of it.
