Power restrictor???

hi guys

i searched a bit over the forum looking for the subject i am curious about and all threads were all about unrestricting the busa . well now i have to disappoint u all coz i want to actually restrict the power in her.

does anyone know how can i do it? is there anything on the market avail to do this?

say i want to restrict my busa to 100HP or 120HP, can that be done?

Interesting request.... I believe there is several things that can be done to acheive this.

and the only restriuction is speed not power

You could use an ECU editor and set the revlimiter at 5k.

Contact Greg Smith. His user name is boostbysmith. He can get you the interface that you need to use the ECU editor. Search ECU editor there is a ton of information on here about it.

Do you live in France? I heard that bikes are restricted there and the ECU must be modified. I am sure you can find someone that lives there that will trade with you.

1. buy a vfr800 or another bike more apt for whatever you're doing
2. ECU flash, pull ignition timing
3. throttle stop lol.
4. gen 2, use c mode till you realize how gimmicky the rider control stuff is.


Seriously though, why buy a busa?

Um couldn't he just use the little buttons on the grip Suzi put there?
I think they are called mode switches and restrict power don't they ?

To the op I tell ya what I'll buy a 100hp 600 and then trade it to you for your Busa.

Yes, its quite easy.
Dont turn the throttle as far.

Your bike will then make 100 to 120hp.
If you cant manage that,
your on the wrong bike.

I wanna know WHY would anyone want to restrict the power in a Busa?

I run mine through the winter as I commute, a full power Busa is entertaining to the max in such slippy conditions, so I could see this being useful, I'd love to see a switchable map function or winter map for my PCII.
