Prayers for my father in-law

At times like these I often wonder WHY bad things happen to GOOD people. My heart goes out to your father and your family. You all will be in my prayers.

Ron,
I am sorry to hear this - thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. Is there anything that we can do for you?

Thanks Shawn,

Dont need anything other than prayers.

Just got off the phone with the wife, they are not there yet but they have been in contact with the nurse.

He is still on a breathing tube and out, it looks as though they are going to wait until family gets there before waking him up so he has family support when he finds out they had to amputate his leg.

Yo Ron....just left you a voice mail.....I can drive up and carpool the football team wherever they need to go so you can be with your family........You got my number.

and Amy sends her love and prayers.

Oh man, what next?

Prayers sent, bud.

Also prayers for the hospital staff and doctors, that they are able to use all their skills to best advantage.

God bless your father-in-law and give him the support to pull through this physically and mentally, and God bless you and your family.

And if you rent a big van to get all the kids and gear to where they need to go, we can certainly make sure the bill's paid for you.

Thanks again everyone for the well wishes, prayers and offers of help, all apprecieated.

05 Busa LE - Thanks for the support and saying the bill would be paid for.. do appreciete it but not neccesary.

I talked to one of the coaches late morning to find out the driving situation and they said they have it covered..

there are over 20 schools from our area that are participating in this camp. from our school there are 23 players that need to be transported down.

Out of the 23 players only parents from 3 family's volunteered to drive, myself and my wife and then two other parents from two different family's, then the two coaches.

Fortunately one of the parents has a motor home.

The coach told me that the plans were they only needed to rent one vehicle before my wife had to cancel. with her not driving he said they were just going to rent two vehicles. So it is all covered.

Funny thing I have noticed over the years, ever since my kids were 6 or 7 and starting in sports, you always seem to see the same parents volunteering all the time lol.. there is like a small group of us that we always see each other when we volunteer for the kids events.

Next Saturday the football team is having a car wash to raise funds so my wife and I are volunteering for that.

The cool thing is I am really enjoying volunteering for this stuff more and more... I likfe being involved with my boys with all this stuff. and they like my wife and I being involved..
