Princess is down again

Glad to hear your doing good... Sorry to hear about your bike... I have to piggy back on some previous post... You need a new front tire...

Sorry to hear about your wrist and the bike, but I'd say it worked out pretty well considering what you hit. I'm glad we're hearing about it from you instead of the 6 o'clock news.

Sorry to hear you wrecked. I don't wish that on any fellow rider.

Point of interest: Why do you say the semi cut you off, when it was obviously making a turn into that driveway that your bike is laying in? He would have had his signals on long before he started his turn. You should have seen his blinkers at some point if you were watching your surroundings. There would be several along the side of every tractor-trailer setup. It's DOT law.

Heal up fast and get back on the bike. Learning from your mistakes is the only way to survive and enjoy this sport.

I'd say you came out pretty good for a T-bone body slam. Those big trucks take up both lanes when making a right hand turn. Glad it was your wrist and not your helmet that was shattered.

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.

.. thats so sad... wrecked my bike 1 week after i finished her too.. it really hurts.. but like everyone said.. ur alive.. and thats the best thing... get well man

Heal up and take care of yourself first. You can get another bike later.

I know it's disheartening, but better oil on the pavement than blood...

+1
You can always get another bike.
I hit a Chrysler New Yorker on my old GSXR1100, it was alot worse than that.

I now ride alot slower, and am more watchful of other traffic, and have not had an incident since 1993.

I wish you a speedy recovery. Like everyone said, don't make any rash decisions on getting rid of the bike just yet. Give yourself some time to get over everything then make a decision when a cooler head prevails.

You're still here, and that's the important thing.

Heal up and don't think about the bike for a while. I would not rebuild, I would break all emotional ties to "that" bike. If a bike lets me down twice or reminds me of unhappy events I move on, but thats just me.

Thanks to you all for you kind remarks. Actually, the tire was a little worn and that was supposed to be changed today (saturday). The dent on the rim was from that, it was never there before. The truck was actually parked facing the wrong way on a 2 way street. He decided to pull out and into the complex across from where he was parked as soon as I came up on him. I will be rebuilding but highly doubt it if i'll be riding it again. My brother came by and picked up the bike and took it to his house si I havent had a chance to actually see the entire damage yet. Might do that tomorrow and see just how serious it is. Thanks again for everything.

Glad you are till with us. Rest up and get healed, bike will come back together...

If the semi cut you off, is there insurance going to take care of everything?
