Problem with bike not turning on at all after storage

Hey guys, I'm having issues with a 2018 ninja 650. Put it into storage 6-8 months ago, took battery off, put it on a tender and didn't touch it til earlier this week because we are moving. I connected the battery, nothing comes on. Black screen, no tail lights or headlights, etc. Took battery to local shop to see if I need a new one and they said it was good. Figured someone here has dealt with this before to guide me through this.

Is there a battery negative cable ground screw to the frame that may be loose or disconnected?

Is the kill switch OFF? I think the lights would at least turn on even if it was.

Is there a main fuse that has blown out?

Check the Power Commander ground if the bike has one although I think the lights would at least come on even if that had a loose ground.

There must be a way to check the ignition switch with a test light. It's a pretty new bike to have OEM electrical problems though.

Alot of shops don't load test small batteries they just put a meter on it and see 12 volts and call it good (not saying this shop did) but it is still possible that with an actual draw on the battery of falls dead immediately. If u have another battery to hookup even if with jumper cables I'd try that first thing (if from a car just be sure the car is not running). Other then that u just have to dig in and start by checking fuses and connections.

This was 100% the issue. I literally told them to load test it and they came back with, it's not the battery, take that brand new bike back to where you bought it from. Bike only had roughly 400 miles and most of it was spent in the canyons or on the track.

Take the battery to any Harley dealer service dept. All dealers have a big fancy charger that load tests as it charges.

So it ended up being the battery?
My battery was similar in the fact that I religiously had it on a maintainer and it showed a charge, but had no amps backing it up.

@Hauie

if the battery has so much volts left to let a single (low beam 55W / indicator 21W or so) bulb let shine,
the lights in your kawa have to glow too.

otherwise i would suppose there is no connection from batt to harness at all.
usually the (red) emergency switch doesn´t matter whatever pos he has.

if nowhere a light glows the main fuse in/at the starter relay may be broken,
if there is such a fuse (i suppose so but no clue if kawa is equal to busa)

- at the busa the relay and the main fuse (30A) as a unit are located LH under the rear fairing´s front end and the fuse is covered by a transparent plastic cap .

Are you sure the problem isn’t due to dirty brake calipers?
