It has been brought to my attention that many of you appear to have missed or forgotten my post shortly after the Spring Bash. This message will serve as a reminder.

Crashing Sucks!
<span style='color:darkblue'>Don't Do It!</span>

I have invested considerable time, effort, blood, and tears into this research and I urge each and every one of you to do everything in your power to avoid learning this fact the hard way. If you need to slow down - your destination will still be there. If you need to pull over and hydrate - your destination will still be there.

Now, this may sound silly, but even though I have admonished you to not crash, I still highly recommend those nice little extras like helmets, gloves, armored jackets, leathers, and boots. Just because there are always factors outside of our control. If you do happen to crash, it's better to stand up and walk away from it than to be carried away in the ambulance (again, years of research have gone into this conclusion!)

Please, y'all be careful out there!

It's not the falling, it's the sudden stop at the end that gets you. Thanks

Ps Don't know if you guys + girls remember my friend Tim. Crash an '01 busa last NOV. He just started eating solid food again. One more surgury to go. He's almost there. I get reminded every day that I talk with him that crashing sucks. But that's OK, I need the reminding.

Hell crashings fun if done right...makes awesome videos..gives you scars to show off....and sometimes gets you a new bike. Or at least a customized one with a new flashy paint job

Well, I must confess to having a nice custom paint job and several scars from crashing. However, I don't have the cool videos because my videographer was thinking nothing could possibly happen... Trouble is, that's always when it does!

Anyhow, custom paint jobs, scars, and cool videos do not outweigh the suckiness of crashing, IMHO, so I will give you a call next time I feel the need to do some more research...

On a more serious note, crashing is bad..very bad. And for the most part can be avoided with some self control and common sense. Thanks for the post and concern for your fellow bikers.
PS I'd help you with your research but I don't film well going down. Although I do run a mean camera (hint hint)

Thanks for the great reminder. Even at low speeds accidents can be real
bad if your head is unprotected. Gear is important plus it's fun to buy
and looks cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for this, CTD. I was going to try crashing soon, but thanks to peer pressure from my friends, the love from my family, and this message, I have changed my mind.
