My sliders came in today so i put them on.
Wasn't that hard with the right tool.
I used the laser pointer method and this is how it turned out.
I used a 2 1/8 in hole saw instead of a 2in like some other people,i want clearance around the slider.

They are white because my bike is getting painted white.

nice job :) Laser pointer works great!

you must have plugged some car batteries into the thing to get it to bore such a nice hole...

i would love to put the body bolt back in but, i brought this bike used and you never know how people treat there stuff. So when i brought the bike the bolt was/is broke in the hole and i cant get it out.If any body know please share.

I tried to drill it but i can't get the bit to stay in one spot.

Have you tried an easy out yet. Should be able to go to your local auto parts store and rent one. Most likely the previous owner cross threaded it, so when you get it out, you may need to tap the treads to clean them up so you have no issues with a new bolt.

i cant even drill a hole in the center of the bolt to use a easy out and the bolt is broke on a angle.

well since i'm getting a paint job(for free).i may just fill in the bolt hole on the fairing.

all i have to do is the prep work and my mom new boy toy will paint it,he showed me some of his work and it looks good.
He has been painting for 30 yrs.

here is some of the progress.
It took me like 1hr and a heat gun to get the kanji sticker off.
