Question about buying used fairing

Thinking of ordering a used left fairing off Ebay. Just curious how well the paint should match. I have more scratches on my fairing than I first thought and it would be $70 just to replace the kanji sticjer which looks pretty bad.

My bike is orange/black.

Anyone had good/bad experiences?

As long as one your buying has the factory paint on it it should match perfect.

Excellent! I am too anal about keeping this perfect, and with 3 kids, my bike is the only thing that is really mine.

My Buell's were so much easier and cheaper when it came to tip-overs!

Exactly, if it is in fact a factory OEM cowling, it will match perfect

I am happy to say that it matches perfectly. A little Meguiar's ScratchX and elbow grease and my "new" used fairing looks near perfect.

I have to say thanks to Blanca for the install/removal instructions. I ran outside while the weather broke with my Ipad and your video cued up. It helped me immensely!

Just wanted to post a pick of my bike as it sits after changing the fairing. Not many mods except for slip-ons, double bubble, saddlebags and matching tailbag and Tapp Lite USB.

Makes me happy!

Now funds are going for another Rick Hinderer XM-18.
