question for the big guys: jacket sizing

I have the same problems (without the monkey arms.. :D ) I just have the spare tire problem (and it ain't a space saver if ya know what I mean) Leather has always been a problem with me, since there is nothing worse looking than a loose leather jacket. That's right, a tight one looks better (sure doesn't feel better) than a loose one. And also the tight one protects better. Too bad we don't ride Harleys, 'cause there is TONS of stuff in our size there..
I find the synthetic stuff to have more sizes, and adjust-ability. Currently I'm rockin' a PowerTrip textile jacket (and making it look damned good too, I might add)
But my leather jacket is an older Alpinestars jacket that is a wee bit tight in the gut area... But I'm trying to work on that. :beerchug:

Well I'm kinda glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.. I'm 6'4 225lbs but have 38" long arms.. Yeah yeah yeah I know monkey arms.. but I can't find a jacket that fits right in the arms that doesn't have a 52-56" chest and 42+" waist.. Might just have to buy one and have it altered to fit if that's even possible. ???

If you don't mind spending a couple of bucks Kushatani jackets (XL) have sizing like that

We need to start our own web site support group!

BigginTallBusas.com!!

I'm 6'1 255ish, depending on what time of day it is:laugh:

When I bought my Busa, the guy threw in a 2xl jacket, nothin fancy, but I figured what the heck, it's free and it's my size...2xl...turns out....2xl is not the same in moto jackets!:duh::duh:

That makes three of us. I'm 6'3", 260lbs, 39" long arms. I haven't really found the right leather, but the Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 in a 2XL Tall worked for me in warmer weather. Long enough in the arms, good on the shoulders and upper body(52"chest) and not too bad in the waist(42"-44" waist).

I ended up getting a Joe Rocket Phoenix 3XL for the warm weather here in AZ... but it's still really big on all the wrong spots and just a shy short on the arms.
