whats up everyone.. i just got my 09 busa and bought some goods for it aready..akropovic full exhaust, bmc fillter, bazzaz zfi with zafm. i did the same work on my 08 750 and hade to remove pin #30 so i dident get an f.i light... what needs to be done with the busa?? something like this? also im going to do the pair mod will im in there is it better to get block off plates?? and iv been seeing some threads about the air box mods..is it worth doing?? and i wana know about getting rid of the stock top speed limitor.. whats the best thing to do?? and what about the stock gearing.. is it good or is it over geared like most street bikes?? ill be using it as a street bike and riding alot of 2 up trips and just want it to the best she could be..sorry for the long post but im new to the busa and finding out that even with all the bikes iv owned and the years i worked in the field as a mechanic my skills are lacking when it comes to the busa... thanks for any info guys..

There is no air box mod for the gen 2 Busa. Opinions vary on which aftermarket filter, but they're all good just because they're reusable. Gearing is fine stock, but myself and alot of folks like a +2 or +3 rear sprocket. It won't affect the gas mileage much and it gives you alot stronger feeling low/mid range power(either will also fit your stock chain fine, with plenty of slack for adjustment too). I dislike a -1 or more front sprocket as the bike "feels" as if it's faster revving and has less torque.
If you're buying block off plates just remove the entire pair assembly. Search for "marble mod" and you can simply plug one of the hoses and accomplish the same thing for free. The ECU Editor is the best thing to tune your bike with. As you can just click the mouse and turn off the pair valve, as well as remove the top speed restriction, raise the rev limiter, tune the air/fuel and alot of other features. Boostbysmith also sells a switch for around $30 to only disable the top speed limiter, and there are a couple other products that do the same but require a little more work.
I'm sorry, but I have no experience with Bazzaz.
I'de adjust your suspension also, they are usually set very soft from the factory. It's a preference, but stiffining the front up some will make the bike feel more stable through turns. Front and rear suspension work together also, so if one is perfect and the other is off, it'll affect the overall handling. Minor adjustments like that aren't complicated and can really improve your ride, especially when you find what works best for you.

Why don't you settle down and ride it a bit. You might like it the way it is, with new exhaust of course:thumbsup:

I like Akrapovic, but I've yet to hear it on a gen2...I can't wait. I really like all the ones I've heard in the past including duals on a gen1.
ECU Editor is from site sponsor Boostbysmith.com, and is only $208!
Where did you buy the exhaust from? I'm really close to having the cash, and MotoMummy is the best price I've found for full dual cf at $1600.
