Quick question about fork oil

ok gregg - so far

but never forget - realy ALL oil ( no matter if motor or fork or else) ages over years wih only a small influence by mileage and loses by THAT its abilyties - thats a fact.

my favorite 4 fork oil, ROWE, prints the fill-in-date and its best-before-date onto the bottles.
the b.b. date applies to cool (not above 25°C) and shady storage in factory packaging - ! unopened and therefore sealed !
broken seal means that the b.b.date is max 1/2 year after breaking the seal / opening the bottel / vessel.
thats what rowe-engineers told me.

I just finished up my bike finally and I had 16k on the fork oil. It was a honey colored brown, I can’t really comment on the smell. After my second tour in Iraq I pretty much lost my sense of smell.

Bike feels a lot better and I brought the rear to stock height too. On my left fork leg the rebound adjuster is stuck, but after reading here I tightened the cap too far up on the dampening rod. The right one is alittle hard to click but I have then set the same. Bike feels good I’m going to leave well enough alone.

When I need seals next I’ll worry about it I am very happy with the results.

Big learning curve from working on regular forks and just some of the things on the busa being a chore to work on.

Good learning experience and now that I know the bike I can do better next time.
