Quick, yet longish introduction!

Welcome

Welcome aboard!! You will love this board. There are a lot of smart and talented people on here,...(well, except for VABUSA, you gotta watch her. She is blonde afterall!!) Seriously though, the people here are great! The CAp does a great job, and the mods are for the most part, easy to get along with.
Just ride at your own pace man. Don't get too crazy too fast! These bikes are big and heavy, but they are very fast and demand respect. That being said, they are also very manageable when you learn to use the power that they offer correctly.
Learn to do everything that you can possibly do by yourself..it will save tons of $$$ in the end!!
Good luck and be safe!!

Alaska is pretty.

The 'busa is a hard bike to ride in the snow. This is something I know for a fact.

Yeah, Juneau is terrible. Rain all the time and I don't think they've broken the 100 mile mark for paved roads in their isolated part of Alaska.

Not real great here now either. 32 degrees snow, ice and sleet all day. But the worst part about Alaska, even though winter is colder in some places down south. Alaska's doesn't end! It doesn't let up. It doesn't hit 40 degrees for nearly 5 months. I don't think we'll see 40 again until April.

But, I'll make good use of the winter, sitting on the bike. Waxing the bike. Taking pictures of the bike....

And I'm definitely looking forward to learning from the best out here!

Welcome! Those long winters would be a killer for just looking at the bike in the garage. Upside is you have plenty of time to do mods!
