Ram mounts

I got a TomTom One 130 for Christmas! Anyway, I have been searching the board for a good ram mount. Not really set on a particular style, stem vrs bar, but I like the reservoir set up. Will that work ok without contacting the windscreen? Anyone have an extra mount they would like to sell? I dont want to pay 70 bucks for a tech mount.

Not trying to be dense here, but how do you use the mount with the ball? Dont you need the backing plate? Looking at my mount for the vehicle, it does not come apart. I guess I need to purchase a plate and mount?

Don't waste your money. I bought it and sent it back and got the ball mount. I have both the stem mount and the handlebar base option and both work well.

I'm using the Ram stem mount with my Garmin V.
It uses the stem ball,
the arm that connects the mounting balls, (different lengths available)
the receiving ball that mounts to the device holder,
the device holder itself.
4 pieces total, I think mine was about $50

They do work a little loose, and need an occasional tightening, but so far mine has been trouble free.

Nope, just a nice relaxing ride in the mountains, maybe lunch in Arkansas, and back home. It will be a nice 10 to 12 hour day.

when you call they'll walk you thru it. You'll need the back plate. It snaps in. I would get the long arm. Sun glare tends to mess it up with the shorty
