A lot of pipes look odd on Gen II. I wanted a pipe that angles well, had cornering clearance (I actually go around corners, not just drag race) but I also wanted something a little bit quieter than the Yosh RS3 that was pretty loud on the GenI.
I bought the Hindle Big Collector SSR w/20 inch can. Nice welds, 14 lbs w/hardware even w/the long can (offered as short as 14 inches) and sounds deep.
I went backwards... Had full Yoshi 4-2-1 system and didnt' like the ugly look of the pipe... Even after chopping the yoshi pipe decided I didn't like the look, though the sound was cool... But decided to go 180 degrees... Mounted a 06 K1 on it... Nice, quiet and IMO fits the Gen1 look perfect. Also covered with header wrap where the welding was done.. Performance loss? Who knows, I can't tell.. it's just quieter now. Also I can swap it for the shorty Yoshi at any time, slips on/off the same way. Best of both worlds!!
