Before you walked out you should ahve said..."Well, then why is the national average age of BUSA riders only 28 and it is so popular that Suzuki has been to scared to change it in over 8 years."

Not sure about the age part but it would sound good and pretty much shut him up right there. Then you should have asked for the sales manager and told him you were thinking of getting a "Whatever the most expensive bike is" but with comments like that you would take your money elsewhere.

Then walk out.

(wizeguy @ May 21 2007,08:39) Saturday I took advantage of the beautiful weather and went out riding. While out, I stopped by one of our local dealers to "fondle" the merchandise. I was sitting on one of the new 1000's when I am approached by a salesman and he says "you ready to trade in the busa and get a real bike?"

I ask him what he means and he says

"That 1000 has more power than the busa and can actually handle. It's a true sportbike, the busa was designed for older or bigger riders."

I was thinking...wow, you are going to try and sell me a bike by making fun of MY bike. I just got off of the 1000 and walked out.
Next time just inform losers like that of real food for thought.

Like there wouldn't be no 150+rwhp gixxer 1000's if not for the busa ripping the envelope back in '99. We'd still have 900's reving as high as 600's barely breaking 140.

If the busa is only made for old and bigger men, why is it THE Most popular and hot selling sportbike out today? Why has it's design and performance, which today is STILL the benchmark to match or bust, remain unchanged for 7 years now? And why are hayabusa's, wether turbo's or motor built or nitrous breathing, the ones busting and holding so many records in top speed and drag events?

And by all means, tell them thanks for persuading you to buy from another dealership since the staff your talking to doesn't know much. That one always hurts the most.
