OK.. Where do i Start?
It was six weeks ago I purchased a "So called" Demo  07 hayabusa at Ultimate Suzuki  of London  {ontario}.  I put  6000 dollar down on this machine.  It had 2900 kms on it... there for it was ready for its first check.. Fluids and so on.  With the weather and so on , and to  gathering up the remainder of the cash i figure 4 weeks would be enough notice to have the bike ready to rock.
i reminded them again the week before i was coming to have it ready, everything in order.  Fine..... that wednesday  I found out they had only started looking at this bike... simple oil change and once over...
That night i showed up to pick it up....
Where is the passager seat?  Where is the Extra Key?  And where is  the owners manual?
Oh we are trying to get it... The salesman passes it off on the sales manager.... and so on........ leave with bike and no extras in hand..
Ok.....First things.... READ Owners manual before operating this machine?
and they let me walk out the door....
Got one ride in.... love it.... alot.....
With work  and more bad weather.... was over a week before second ride.
still love it.....
Several calls back to Ultimate suzuki ...NO  extras.. the run around.
this is where it gets nasty...
Finally another day off..{left at noon, played hookey} to go home and ride my busa...GREAT DAY.....till i open the garage DOOR..
HUGE puddle of oil under bike....
where is it coming from....who knows, cant see a thing....with the fairings.
angry....Hop on old faithful... 1990 Gl 1500 goldwing.... 211,000 km on it.
and race to Ultimate Suzuki...
Livid.   told them the problem....Store owners says to salesmen.. go get that bike with the trailer.
this was past saturday....brought it back to shop and parked it in the center of shop.....DRIP DRIP DRIP. WE will look after it...no problems.
I said....have a good mind just to leave it here and take home that Black 08.  Fix this bike and work me out a price on the difference..
So..... got home earily today... called....is the bike ready... answer.. are you coming today.....yes......ok.... show up.... Talk to service manager...oh..... the oil filter seal let go....(less then 200 kms after first service...}  he may have rolled the seal or... something.
fine..look at bike...... sitting in shop.... still drip drip drip, fairing front not lined up you put the fairing on the bike but did not clean inside of fairing? oh we se have not cleaned it yet?
rock.gif
? what... the fairing is back on and is not cleaned....
I dont understand.....?
in the mean time.... the bike is rolled off into wash bay and power washed...
track down the owner..... and ask for the difference on the 08... still not worked out.... damn.......Service has been less then good..much less then great.....
waste 30 mins waiting for the price.......600 more then i had figured...
anyway..... back to service bay.....there she is.. dripping water... freshly hosed off.....great....walk over run hand under fairing ....oil still on bottom of fairing
WELL I WAS GOING TO SNAP... if the oil is on the bottom..i am sure the inside is full...and when it sprays all over the inside and back tire.. i will not be happy......WHEN i put things back together it is spotless    . and i expect the same....... and i walked out....

Dayum....that sux. Hope they make it right.

The extra $600 might be worht it for the 08 depending on how they treated the "demo" and how much oil left the engine before your ride ended.

OH.....It did not leak while riding it.... back tire and so on was clean.. only in fairing after it cooled off i am guessing

I dont beleive i would do any business with that dealer anymore. I would write Suzuki and tell them what is going on. Dealers should do better. The guys here that i deal with are great!! I would how ever trade for the 08. JMO Good luck, Doug

when you purchase a demo , this kind of stuff can happen,,, I would bet you can get better service out of the dealer if you do not get your skirt in a knot... Give them a chance to get things right... Keep in mind also that all the extra stuff is probably not all that easy to find but easy enough to order new.. Give them time to find the stuff and propose (nicely) that they could order the stuff new to replace the lost items..

Getting all spun out on those guys will do nothing but make them hard to work with (Oh here that guy comes again, RUN)

You would rather they look at you as "Reasonable" regardless of the circumstances...

Good luck with getting things fixed, I am sure it will not be that bad if you just take it in stride..

Sorry to hear it, brotha. Maybe the 08 is the best way to go.

Praying it works out for you man. Demo bikes are just bad news no matter how good the deal is or how durable the model line is proven to be. You just don't know WHAT the machine has been put through. Demo is another way of saying "Beater".

try to keep your cool, easier to get what you want. love my K8, might want to think about trading.

Ok..... home again with the busa. Picked it up remained calm....get home......OH>> new scuff.. allen key mark next to fairing bolt... headlamp does not work.... no high beam no low beam.
NICE....
sigh

Darn... forgot to talk about the missing parts....... seat showed up.... yahoo. no owners manual....no extra key.....
This is Ultimate Suzuki is a New super store..... full line up of bikes and full line up of cars....
think i would have had better luck with a small mom and pop shop...

So, you might try the "well I think I would rather have the 08" see if they will let you trade out for what you are in it.. (was a demo bike already)

I have purchased 3 motorcycles from ULTIMATE SUZUKI

. They have always bent over backwards for me and some of my friends

. I know they will do the right thing.

Take it back! Make them fix EVERYTHING and provide you with EVERYTHING that should have come with the bike. If they don't, demand a refund and take your business elsewhere.

If they had the front upper fairing off for some reason, they might of not plugged the main plug for the headlight back in.

Best not to get off to a bad start with these guys.Ultimatly you want to develope a friendship with all the guys at the shop where you do your bussiness. The common denominator in all this seems to be that darn "DEMO". Sit down calmly with the sales guy(bring him a coffee too)and scrap the demo deal and all of its related issues and start fresh on a K8. He'll cut a fresh deal with you and still have the demo which in his mind is an easy sale to someone else. You'll be getting a better bike and it gives you all a chance to show your best side. You don't just buy a bike at the dealership you pick a team of experts to assist you with all your needs for years to come. It is eccential that you not only get along but that you are good friends and on a first name basis. Hang out and BS with some of the mechanics and or parts guys.Bring them coffee and donuts some morning or a pizza for lunch. My point is that you want them to be excited and happy to see you when you stop by,not,oh sh!t its that azz hole again, whats he gonna biatch about now.If you can acomplish this with a shop they will take care of you so much on deep discounts on parts, cheaper labor times, bike rushed right in and worked on right away, done on time and maybe even some free stuff(repair tips,hat,t-shirt`)and why? BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS DO FOR EACH OTHER!!!! If you can salvage this,do so,if not you should start fresh somewhere else.

When I bought my 07, I did'nt know it was supposed to come with a passenger seat and grab bar. I was told by the salesman that they were optional accesories. Two days later I met another guy who had bought his 07 one day before me and informed me that it indeed comes with the seat and bar!! I called the dealership and told them I'd forgotten to get my seat and grab bar when I took delivery of the bike, the man on the phone told me " No problem, we've got plenty laying around; just come on in and pick them up!" Apparently there we're probally other new owners that never got theirs either!!
