Just got off the phone with John. Mikki is still in surgery and will probably be out in about an hour. Then she goes to ICU. For now, no news is good news. Prayers continue.

Thank you everyone. Very nice and yes, the prayers made it possible.

She is doing just great. The Surgeon transplanted the pancreas in the same spot removing the failed one. She is tickled pink not to have another scar.

She has had two kidney transplants in case you didn't know. I call her Frankenstein.

She now has matching scars and "NO", there will be no pics!

I read every post and found the majority of you are donors. This is just fantastic. If you could see (and some have) what a transplanted organ does for a person and the family involved then you understand it is truly...

"the gift of life".
