really a limiter on an 02 busa?

I have read a number of articles that are saying that the hayabusa really doesn't have a speed limiter. They say it will drop the power in for the last 500rpms. But that sounds like safety for the engine and not the rider. So, my question is if you didn't install a TRE and added all the extra HP and speed modifications, would you go faster than the "194mph" top speed I have heard about? If so, there really isn't a speed limit on the bike other the physics and I would be wasting my money buying one. Comments?

Due to your question you have never been there. The top of 6th ,
so yes you would be wasting your money

Due to our bikes having "gear position sensor" It tells the ECU..so when in sixth gear....
Lowers the rev limit.....in just that gear...to limit top speed....but theres more to it.......PaceM
